Default Screencast Teleprompter

Hey there,

Now here's an interesting idea... I dunno if anyone knows if this is possible (yet) ?

When we do a screencast, many of us typically record ourselves talking over a powerpoint presentation.

But I think many of us would also like to make notes we see but the audience does not see. And fumbling with paper notes isn't really a professional option...

However, is there any way that we could set it up to have two powerpoint presentations on screen, being moved through at the same speed. So you press forward and both move forward... one is on the screencam, and one is reminding us of additional things to say.

If we could work out a way to make this work, it would be like having a teleprompter for use in our powerpoint presentations. (I know you could set up timing, but that's a little off I think).

hmmmm, interesting idea , been looking for something like that as I've become tired to use my laptop over/beside the PC monitor.

Yep, the solutions are available. Here's one example:
Dual Screen W95-Vista TelePrompter Software description and teleprompting information page.

There is even one where you can actually mount the thingy over your notebook PC webcam, (with the text prompts being reverse-reflected off a 45degree see thru glass!) hence ensuring you directly look into the camera thru the glass. I'll update this post when I find the reference, as it is bookmarked in one of my other PCs at home...

Hope that helps.......

Edited. OK, I found it. Hope warriors find this useful......
For those wishing to do your own videos, they have a (I believe) FREE teleprompter software, so you can load and then scroll your written script (just like they do in TV studios)....

Hey, I've done some research too.

Looks like there's a simple solution to having two simultaneous PowerPoint presentations. Annoyingly, not built into PowerPoint itself, but into a stupidly overpriced add-on. ($99).
