Anyone upgraded their WP to 2.8.1 yet?

Just now got off my lazy arse to start some work (ok not that lazy have done the washing up, laundry and other sundry household stuff).

Logged into one of my WP sites and see it now says to upgrade to 2.8.1 so just wondering if anyone has yet?, any issues surfaced so far? etc etc...

It is a good idea to update as it is a security release.

From the official WP blog: Core Security Technologies notified us that admin pages added by certain plugins could be viewed by unprivileged users, resulting in information being leaked. Not all plugins are vulnerable to this problem, but we advise upgrading to 2.8.1 to be safe.

Also, thanks ACrofford - yes this was the reason I was asking because of the fix on the plugin security.

Have you actually upgraded yet though?

I've upgraded all my sites running on wordpress and so far no issues, everything seems to be running smoothly.

The upgrade went OK for me. Used the automatic mode (which is always a bit scarey!). No problems.

Just to also report back for anyone else who might be concerned, I have just upgraded one of my sites and so far all is working great and I am particularly liking the new widget area functionality, brilliant!

I'm staying with 2.7.1 for a few more days. V2.8 was such a hash up that I want to ensure that everything works.

Good to see that they have regressed some items which caused problems in the 2.8 release.

I always upgrade on the first release and have never had any issues or problems since 2.5. In the process of upgrading to 2.8.1 on all my blogs and thus far no issues or concerns to report.

I upgraded two sites. It's really cool that now you can change templates with one click. I think that's a new feature, right? I have been able to try out many different templates without downloading them to my FTP program.
