Google "me" Gmail Account Spam

Hi Warriors,

Recently for the last few days I got so many spam email sending from "my own" gmail account. This has made me very frustrated. I really don't know how to stop them. How do I report this kind of email to Google, because this email was sent from "my own email".

I don't know how this people use my own email to send to the same my own email.
How do I track the real sender's email?

Anyone has advice, please?

Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Owid.-

You can't. The from email address is easy to fake.
All you can see is the server it originated from and then that was probably forged too.

You can track the ip address with some free tools, but as mentioned that won't do any good as they most definately use proxies.

Not sure i guess you better start a thread in the google forum i guess to get some mods to check it out, surely you're not the only one with this issue.

lol this is actually funny, happened to me a few days ago, it even caused me to change my password as a last resort. Gmail blocks many of my important emails and then spam junk like this comes through without being blocked.

Sadly happens on other services besides gmail. Would gmail even take the time to try and track them down? Or do anything about it?

    Thanks for replying guys.
Yeah... whatever, there's still no respond from Gmail's people.
Since this is a free service from them to us.
I guess I have to accept it anyway.

BTW, don't you guys think google is now playing an IM game? I mean... more in depth.
Who knows? Maybe this is a new trick they sell for some big IM player here.

I used to have this problem. I had to create a new account and just use the original one as spam account. Did you fill out opt-ins? That's how it happened to me.
