Don't worry about the Xmas, but first check how many big launches (particularly in your niche) is going to happen & schedule your launch according to that,Cause It'll be hard to get affiliates

It would be a good idea to launch the product (here depends a lot on the kind of product you will release) some days before Christmas. But see that you find a gap in the schedule of other companies' releases, to not overlap. Even more if you are still not so well known in your domain. Prior to the launching itself, you might want to "prepare" the audience with some flyers, stickers, mails, announcements of any kind, on and off line. Best of luck!

It all boils down to traffic at the end of the day. Not overlapping with other big launches...well that'll be there throughout the year, but what about your affiliates and end buyers? Would they be available? If you have your own list, do you actually know how your subscribers behave at different times of the year? If your own list, JV partners and affiliates are well lined up and battle ready you can launch anytime you want.

In some niches, Christmas isn't a good idea to launch products because people aren't ready to buy such products at that time, while there are some niches that do well durinmg festive season. So, it's also about your niche and subniche etc.

Do what everything else tells you NOT to do and you'll be alright.

  • I plan on releasing one close to Christmas, the thing is you will continue to sell the item well after Christmas as well. So even if it starts out a little slow you can keep building momentum. I had a product come out last year near Christmas and it did just fine.

The best thing you can do many times is to not procrastinate, and get the process moving forward.

I would suggest staying away from the Christmas week itself because of travel ect. but other than that let it RIP! Good luck with your launch.

If your product is related to Christmas, it might be the ideal time to launch now as you have just under 20 days to make sales from the 'Christmas crowd'. For instance, maybe your product is a package of Christmas/holiday themed note cards or Christmas T-shirts. Those will only be used during this holiday season, so you will have to launch now and put your marketing machine into over drive if you expect to make sales.

If your product is not really related to Christmas, then you might delay until the New Year when people can be more focused on what you are offering and less on Christmas related themes so that you have all that momentum of the product launch to propel you to success.

Selling a product during the holidays is fine as long as you don't launch it on Christmas Eve or Christmas.

People aren't around there computers much on those days. Trust me...I learned the hard way haha.
