Question for site flippers...

Hi fellow warriors and site flippers...

Can you please tell me if you have had any problems flipping sites made with XSitePro?

I have no problems building sites by hand but it is much faster with XSitePro. I am wondering about potential buyers not having XSitePro and having to wade through the exported html code to make changes etc.

Ideally I could sell the site and include an affiliate link for XSitePro....

Thanks for any input!

Wouldn't the buyer have to have a license for XSitePro also? Or is it in their terms that you can sell sites built with it?

Thanks for your input - you raise a question I hadn't really considered...

Let me think out loud for a second.

XSitePro is not a server side program, its a desktop application like DreamWeaver, Homesite, etc. To me it would not make sense to require a buyer to purchase the software just to use the site - otherwise there would be a lot less sites sold and a lot more html editors sold.

That having been said, XSitePro does come with many prebuilt templates, graphics etc. I might could see that being an issue if you are selling their templates/designs...

I only build custom sites and make my own graphics, etc. so I wouldn't have a problem there.

I know sites are being listed for sale using XSitePro, just not sure of the ramifications of that.

      Thanks again!

I would have to assume that XSitePro is an HTML editor, seeing as you've made a Dreamweaver comparison to it. If it is you can direct them to a free HTML editor - Nvu. Just give them all the graphics and they should be able to edit whatever at will.
