Internet Sucess Recipe A-Z (please correct me if I'm missing anything)

Hello all, only 2nd time posting here so I hope to be another positive, contributing member to this forum sharing positive ideas and strategies.

I have decided that I would like to be location independent and set up three specific blogs/youtube channels/businesses and am trying to get a realistic idea of what needs to be done as well as reality of doing this on a regular basis. The 3 areas will be international real estate/dating advice (for a specific ethnicity)/and self-improvement/business strategies for artists.

So here's my proposed game plan

A - Set up wordpress site for each channel
B - Set up youtube channel for each channel
C - Set up twitter for each channel
D - Set up Facebook for each channel
E - Set up Google page for each channel
F - Set up instagram for each channel
G - Start writing blog content to post on weekly/bi-weekly basis (any tips from others who already do this? Do you write every day? Every week and/or whenever inspiration hits to have enough content as backup?)
H - Film either myself and/or have friend film me to have weekly/bi-weekly video content for Youtube (any tips from others who already do this? Do you film every day? Every week and/or whenever inspiration hits to have enough content as backup?)
I - Hire affordable (or in beginning do it myself) video editor to make all the video footage entertaining.
J - Try to find popular, relevant online and offline forums for each field and becoming a known expert in those forums and provide good advice to other members asking questions
K - Find other bloggers and network/establish relationships with them to refer traffic back to each other
L - ????

Okay sorry, don't have enough ideas to reach all the way to Z but how to monetize all this effort? Can one make enough money from just traffic alone? Do I have to offer personalized consultations to generate income from these endeavors?

Any feedback/constructive criticism greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You can make money from quality traffic that leads to conversions. Look for places where people might share an interest in your product or service. It sounds like you've got a pretty good list of things to try already. Just remember that building traffic can take time.

That's where you start from, for internet "marketing". No point in coming up with such a detailed plan without that being the objective, surely? How do you even decide what to put in the "plan" without knowing what the monetization is? How do you know which of those social media things to use, for each "channel" (whatever "channels" are)? How did you decide to start three "channels", rather than one, or ten?

You seem to be missing any internet marketing, as far as I can make out?

I don't mean it rudely, but this is an internet marketing forum ...

IMO, you have a wonderful game plan . . .

for burning yourself out, spending a lot of money, and selling nothing.

It's almost always best to start a plan with the end in mind. You have no defined destination. You haven't identified a niche (other than 3 very broad markets), and you don't know where your income will come from.

Find a very specific demand or desire in the marketplace. Focus on one thing, not three. Figure out how you can meet the demand by selling a product or service. Then fill in the "how" once you have a lock on the what you're going to sell.

Your enthusiasm is great . . . keep it up. But to be profitable, you need focus. You're jumping out of the chute with guns blazing but you haven't even identified a target yet.

The problem with you is that I don't think you know how stuff works. The whole idea of internet marketing is to make money (obviously!).

You can do this in multiple ways, such as selling a product, a service, an ad space, or any variation of these. What you have described so far is just a way of acquiring prospects to which you can sell them whatever is that you want.

So first figure out what you want to sell, and then, and only then, think about a way of getting customers to your offer.

Bottom line: you need very basic advice on which you can build up with further knowledge. Alexa has talked about in the past about a course on affiliate marketing written by some chick named Laura. I think she said it's for beginners, so it might be good for you. Still, you can find plenty of free information on this forum.

    Good luck.

You need to answer this question, and a whole lot more in researching your market and targeted demographics, before making your alphabet soup. In at least two of the three areas around your game "plan" (so far a recipe for disaster; diametrically opposite to best preliminary marketing practices), offering personalized consultations (ie building a List) is essential for achieving any significant level of success.

Hello all, thank you very much for taking the time to respond. And yes, I do know I am a beginner with broad ideas, so thus, am hoping other kind hearted successful souls will school me I am a young grasshopper so welcome any feedback at all.

While the areas I mentioned are broad in nature, my main goal is to provide value and feel I can do so as I've been successful in those three areas. I think while this is an internet marketing forum, part of the services that I personally use and check on a regular basis have come from value added marketing from trusted sources who provided value added free advice as opposed to traditional marketing ala advertising/banners/links/etc so decided I would approach it in a similar manner. Seth Godin has a great talk on TED regarding this topic here:

And again, at least for me, the services I've used and purchased in the past have come from sources that I felt were very unique and added value. If I'm misunderstanding anybody's comments, please forgive me and let me know I'm wrong.

Second, yes, I agree that one should backwards engineer the entire process starting from monetization but due to my lack of experience in this field, am not even sure what all the income pillars are depending on each channel. For example, can just getting thousands of views on a youtube video provide a good revenue stream from advertising? Can having .004% of your visitors clicking on an affiliate link provide enough revenue to survive? (and if yes to the 2nd, by providing that affiliate link, can it rub your visitors the wrong way to deter them from visiting again? I know for myself, if I visit any website that seems too "spammy" or too many advertising links, it rubs me the wrong way)

Then if I want to start pitching chotchkies ala Amazon, I've read elsewhere that the margins are minimal so again, one would need large numbers to gain any significant revenue streams? But again, I don't know. If I'm living in a cheaper place, I guess it won't matter but just trying to gauge how people survive doing this.

Thanks again and I'll search the forums for the recommended resources mentioned.

Drill down on one method/technique until you are consistently profitable before layering on more stuff.
