    Well it's going to benefit you regardless. I'm not sure if it will make a good back link, but it is EXCELLENT for tracking everything. When you find your main source of traffic, you want to advertise you goo.gl link more on that one source rather than wasting time on the ones that don't convert.

    Also, if you can check the bounce rate, uniques, etc and customize your page mainly for them. If you do this, you'll be rich in no time!

      URL shorteners/concealers which depend on unnecessary third-party services are extremely inadvisable.

      The way to do that is through a system mediated via your own website, so that you're in control of its ongoing reliability and security yourself. PrettyLink is good, if you use WordPress. If you don't, you need one that's coded into your website (it's a cheap and easy thing to outsource).

      Don't imagine that "goo.gl" is necessarily going to be any safer than the dreaded bit.ly or tinyurl just "because Google owns it". Google regularly starts up and regularly discontinues such services.
