I used to have my own high PR blog network awhile ago and I used a website called Register Compass to continually see what high PR domains were for sale. You can do custom searches so you can try to find exactly what you're looking for. I believe when I signed up a long time ago it was $37 a month. Not sure what the price is now. You can go to www.registercompass.org to find out more.

      Chris,

Just be aware that often when an expired domain is re-registered, it will quickly lose it's Page Rank unless the new owner either maintains the original site or sets up a site that is relevant (the same topic) to the incoming links of the old site. I have seen a case where big money was paid for a PR6 and after a few months time the site had dropped to PR1.

Page Rank (named after Larry Page) is not what it used to be.

Domain PR will not lose it's PR until google update it's PR tool bar. But recently they make an announcement that PR toolbar may not update anymore or soon.

There are some reason why domain suddenly lose its pr even there is no update on google page rank tool bar.
        1. The site was penalized
        2. The PR of the domain was fake

You can see a list of domains that are expiring, with metrics, on Domcop. Most people will buy from auction or from a broker. There are number of sites selling expired domains online if you have a look around.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've heard of Register Compass but not of the other resources mentioned on this thread.

As far as PR goes I'm not super concerned with that. I know that Google hasn't updated their PR's in a while so I'm mainly looking at websites with a Moz score of at least 30-40 and above.

Specifically in the financial/business/currency niche or at least something similar that can be re-purposed. Preferably a website that still has all of the original content.

In addition to Register Compass, you should have a subscription to:
https://ahrefs.com/ which cost about $87 a month. Then you can check
the links and see if they are good and still active.

      And here is another source:

Google Toolbar PageRank Finally & Officially Dead?
Google's John Mueller said Google probably won't update Toolbar PageRank in the future.

Piece of advice, do not buy them from anyone advertising it on this forum as 9 out of 10 is worthless old reregistered crap.

You should go find them at auctions.

I don't know why people still care about PR too much, why Google announced dropping this metric and no longer update PR.

I switch to analyzing TF, CF, DA & PA long ago. PR is just for 'decoration' - I supposed.

Agree, PR is completely irrelevant nowadays, hasn't been updated for over a year publicly. Personally i scrape authority sites, look for expired domains. check they can be registered then filter whats left by trust flow and PA/DA.

i look for TF 20+ as a starting point and then check the referring domains and backlink profile + anchor text.

then if happy register them for $10 or whatever and get them re indexed. Loads of juice for a fraction of the cost.
