How do you suggest that I rephrase the question? I'm looking for the most over saturated niches out there. The niches that have the most competition.

What are the most competitive markets? As Rod has stated, Internet Marketing is really not a niche . . . it's marketing via the Internet which is a tool and a particular set of strategies to reach prospects.

So if you're talking about ultra competitive markets, I would have to say . . .

- Make money online
- Weight loss and dieting
- Travel and vacationing
- Dating and relationships
- Health, supplements and exercise
- Gaming and role playing

As others have stated, you kinda have your terms mixed up. Not your fault, most people in this forum constantly mix those two terms up.

People have already named some of the most saturated markets (supposedly). Personally, I don't believe in "saturated markets' the way most people label them. Most people crown markets "saturated" far too early and fast to suit me. But that's another story.

My purpose hear is to let you know that's the importance of knowing how to research, find, create and position yourself in a niche. Then you'll discover why the most money is made by people who run to competitive markets ... instead of away from them.

If that's the case, you're probably looking for the most popular markets, then. In which case, just think in terms of products that appeal to a mass audience (weight loss, fitness, dating, self-help), as opposed to products that appeal to a narrow audience (landing page optimization, ostrich farming).

This is a better perspective, ultra competitive, and it's a more accurate way of expressing the state of affairs. Calling them saturated is a subjective observation. Saturation implies there's no more room and that's certainly not the case.

If that is the case, then i would say the most saturated would have to be the Make Money Online, Health&Fitness, and Relationship niches. These or other 'evergreen' niches would be the most saturated in terms of marketers trying to promote products within them...

There's always a way to penetrate a market.

It's a big subject, but here are a couple of examples:

1. Target online traffic platforms with weak competition in the market.
2. Offer the target market something better.

Nearly every niche market out there that is profitable is saturated. The chances of stumbling across one that has not been found yet is slim... but it does happen.

Even in a saturated market you can find a way to get the word out there about your site/product. If one product along was able to magically corner a entire market, it would be all over.

But people will continue to look for so called "new" things even if they are not new. It's just your job to find a way to make it new to them.

I don't think this answers your question but ...

The IM market was declared saturated 4 years ago. Look at where it is now ... marketers in this market are still racking up new customers every day.

Same thing with the health and fitness market. If you're a serious marketer you'd know that it is far from saturated. Check it out for yourself and you'd notice display ads running for a solid 3 years.

Who in their right mind would run an ad that long unless it's profitable?

No one.

Competition doesn't mean saturation.

In fact I'd be more afraid to venture into a competition-less market than a competitive one. I mean I could always outsmart and outspend the competition but I can't create demand - I can only redirect that demand and tailor my offer accordingly to the demand.

In my field, the most saturated niches (defined by the ratio of marketers to consumers) are forex and binary options - in other words, those that appeal to people who fall for "make money fast" claims.

It's probably the same in IM.

The funny thing about such niches is that, there are still people making money with it, new players are still going into the niches.

If the niches that i could not make money,i would think its saturated. lol

i.e
1. You tube Marketing
2. SEO
3. Email Marketing
3. Article Marketing
4. Facebook Marketing
5. Site flipping

etc..etc..

I would say Facebook marketing has got a little crowded. But over saturation ?? Nope. there is plenty of room to make lots of money with it

Anything about mortgage or credit/credit repair seems to be a very saturated niche. Lots of websites competing for that and also very expensive to use Adwords to drive traffic to those sites.

Well to me the saturated ones are the "Make money online" niche and "dating"

Then again a real Internet marketer with skills wouldn't worry of such thing as "Saturation"

Even though some niches have been overly saturated, marketers always find a way to make a success out of it.

So basically there's no such thing as saturated "Niches"
More like "Saturated methods" to get around those niches.

You said it, no such thing as saturated niches only saturated methods. In fact, excuse this next hair splitting statement, "if it's saturated, it's no longer a niche - from a marketing standpoint".

Only the non-creative, safe-thinking, crowd followers see saturated markets. IMO.

I would say the health and wellness industry is the most over saturated.

They say its a multi-billion dollar industry or whatever, but there is also thousands and thousands of products/vitamins/gadgets/magic potions of all shapes and sizes at every single price point, so getting into that niche and trying to carve out your own living is a very uphill battle.
