Best way to reinvest my first profits.

Hi everyone. First I would like to say that thanks to a lot of help from a lot of great people here at the warrior forum I have received my first 150 dollar clickbank check as an affiliate. It's not a lot, but its a start, and I am excited about it.

So naturally I want to use this money to expand a little. But I am not sure what my best option would be. Here is where i am at.

At first i was going to try a mediatraffic (dotcom) campaign. But I am a bit discouraged by the fact that in order to get the ad to the user they need to install free software making them less likely to be buyers. And are popups still effective on people today?

Then I was thinking about starting to build a PBN. Seems like I might need to spend a bit on software to get expired domains backlink profile? I am inexperienced and do not know who to believe when it comes to the proper techniques for building a PBN today and in this upcoming year.

Should I try PPC instead of those? building a PBN would be easier with a little more money. If i could find a way to get a ROI on 150 -250 bucks i could take the time to build my funds a little to be able to build an awesome PBN.

Or should I buy some content? I was thinking along the lines of getting youtube videos made... but is that effective in the short term?

at the moment I only have a landing page and an ugly blog with a few articles that is not ranking. My traffic is coming from a few blog comments.

  • So you made your first $150 from putting an affiliate link on a landing page with a blog and then did some marketing.

If I were you I would carry on with what you are doing because you know it works.

    Here's what I would do
    1. Buy or invest the money in content creation to improve your blog
    2. Use a service such as Optimizely to start split testing the landing page
    3. Invest in a better design for your blog and landing page

Out of all those I would probably just spend it all on creating some high quality content.

I am on the internet fulltime monday thru friday and part time on weekends, have been for years.

I am CERTAIN I have NEVER clicked on a pop-up and I do not expect I ever will.

If you want to risk it, pbn is the way to go.. if done effectively its good money, but $150 can be a very small budget for the same, so you need to put a bit of your own money in it too..
Or just start something new, something that inspires you..

Hey. If it's already working for you, make it better & add more content. This seems like the least risky way to spend your earnings & may even make you more to reinvest

Well here is my deal. I am selling a software product. You buy after the trial period, so a lot of the sales pitch seems to be in the free trial. My landing page is getting people to download really well. But my only source of traffic seems to by one blog comment where I blatantly plugged the software in the comment. Somehow the moderators let it go... then I up voted it to best answer. I am getting 6 to 16 hops a day. But I feel I lucked out finding a high traffic post in my niche that allowed me to advertise like that. I tried again on other blogs and as suspected they never made it through moderation. So I know my landing page works I just need traffic (common situation I know). But if i could buy the right kind of traffic and get a roi then my PBN dream could come true because i could spend more.

Those things you're talking about could cost a newbie lots of money. I think you go back with blogging. Instead of commenting to drive traffic to your blog, you should start approaching top blogs for an opportunity to do guest posts. This is only a problem if your writing isn't good enough or you lack self confidence. If you've got any problems, admit and tackle them instead of trying to avoid them. That works better.

You could start with Facebook PPC with a small investment of say $5-$10 per day.

But I would do that to test out if the squeeze page that you send them to is converting and optimizing that.

Use a free giveaway in your niche with high value. And then get the email of your prospects. And then do email marketing with further affiliate offers.

    Take care

I remember when I got my first Adsense check. I wondered what I should do with it. I focused on the one blog from where I derived most of my Adsense earnings. From 2011 onwards it was repeatedly hit by the Panda/Penguin updates.

By late 2012 I decided I wasn't going to let it get me down. I diversified into tens of blogs on different niches and just focused on quality content and some social media. Now I make a little money from many blogs.

The point is ... diversify. Use your capital to register more domains and buy more content if you can't create it. Use whatever revenue streams that work but just don't put all your eggs in one basket!

Congratulations on making your first sale. The first is always the hardest. At least it was for me

What I suggest you do with some of your profits as they are coming in is re-invest 50% back into your business/advertising model.

Exactly where you re-invest at this point is not important as much as keeping it diverse. Test out ppc ads, test out solo ads, test out traffic exchanges. Stuff like that.

How much had you invested before making that $150?

Hosting, a domain, and a little time. so like less than $20.

I paid to have some decent articles written for my wordpress blog... but i don't know how to get any traffic out of that. It just sits there looking pretty... It does not rank and I am not sure how to get back links that are worth anything.

Take a look at this thread for traffic http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ffic-tips.html take time to read it. This will help with the traffic end. I would carefully budget that money and try placing a few paid ad, and adding some more fresh content.
