Have question about renting domains

INTERNET MARKETING

I want to rent domains to businesses who already have a website and domain. The rented domain would be easier to remember and better for marketing purposes than their regular domain. Website rental is not involved - just the domain name itself would be rented. Can I simply cloak and/or point / redirect the rented domain name from my domain registrar to the business who wants it? Would I need their DNS info? And if they stop renting it, can I just have the domain point to another business website?

a simple redirect will work for what you want.

Several ways to do this, the easiest and oldest way is to use a meta refresh.

Put this between the head tags : <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL="http://www.clientsite.com" />

  If I use a meta refresh, wouldn't I need to have a page to place this between the head tags? Is there a way to redirect by simply pointing the rented domain to the current business site without having to have a page?

Just 301 redirect the domain right from the registrar. No need for a host or meta refresh.

Just Google "domain forwarding <your registrar>" and you'll find easy instruction and YouTube videos.

It might be better to connect the DNS instead of a redirect because in a redirect, it could be harder for people to find the site in the search engines.
