How to have new message appear daily on Wordpress blog?

Hi, I have a Wordpress blog and want to have a new message appear daily on it. I plan to have a sign up for Aweber daily emails with similar content on the site and the Aweber base of messages might be a source of the daily messages on the blog if I could fine a way to use the same data base from Aweber. But that does not have to be the way it is done. If anyone has any suggestions on how to build in an automatic feed of daily messages onto the blog, I would really appreciate hearing them. Thanks for any information you can provide. Ed.

By messages do you mean blog posts?

Good question. It could go either way. They are called "One Minute Motivators" and are a quick tip to run your life even better. They could go into a blog post entitled say like "Today's One Minute Motivator", or they go into say a separate box on the blog home page, whichever works best in terms of displaying best. And of course any suggestions on other options are welcome as well. Thanks, Ed.

Go to Dynamic Drive and look at the scripts for "dynamic content."

All you need is a text file with blog posts, famous quotes, snippets of information, thoughts of the day, tips, or anything else. You can display these things dynamically on your site.

An RSS feed might also serve the purpose you want.

        There are several good alternatives.

You can set your messages to appear on your site when you want them so write as many as you want and preset each one to appear as one per day.

Thanks Laurencewins, that sounds interesting, what part of the wordpress blog would I use to set the timing of the post to appear? Thanks, Ed.

Whenever you're writing the post, instead of publishing it right away, schedule a date for it to be published. It's in the area where you would add a new post.

I think there are WP plugins that will do this.

There is one that will display a snippet of content at a scheduled time. The snippet can be part of other content.

You can also set an expiry date for the snippet and it will be removed from the post on the expiry date.

    Hi Ed,

To the right of each post you have your publish button. There is also a date there which is today's date and time. You can simply alter that to a future date and time for each one you write.

Hey ed, if I can do it, anybody can. I have a webmaster that does all the "tricky stuff" but I have learned that much about posts that I can do that for myself. I am glad I was able to share such a small tidbit of info that seems easy for me but I know that easy things often seem the most complicated because they're too obvious.

    Good luck with it.
