How Do Vendors feel about sharing a buyers list with Affiliates on jvzoo?

I'm pretty sure that maybe this topic was brought up before but I couldn't find anything in the search. But I wanted to know how vendors in jvzoo feel about sharing a buyers list with affiliates on jvzoo. As most of you might know if you integrate your auto responder on jvzoo as an affiliate when you promote an offer and they purchase I believe you get their paypal email address on your list. But since they started that ,have vendors noticed a drop on epcs or open rate when they send emails now to their list since now affiliates are also emailing them as well. Looking on launching a product sometime in the near future and I just wanted to know if jvzoo or any other platform is a good place to release. And also has anyone experimented with sending a solo ad straight to a jvzoo offer and then exit pop to a cpa offer resulting in either a cpa conversion or an affiliate sale off jvzoo while still building a buyers list.

Thanks for the comments..

What is the benefit to the list owner? Especially if he has promised his subscribers that he would keep their contact information confidential?

Put yourself in the vendor's shoes.

If vendors are selling their lists I really hope they don't put any disclaimers on their pages about keeping the information private.

Just in case someone missed something: JVZoo now allows affiliates to collect emails from the sales that they make (an integration that works with GetResponse only).

Personally, i don't think it's something bad as the affiliate is referring the visitor to the seller.

The only way people are added to the affiliates list is if that person buys through their link. So you're only "sharing" your list with people who send you traffic that converts into sales.

Most affiliates are just using this as an email segmentation feature so when they send traffic to a product, the email marketer (affiliate) can now see who the real buyers are on their list. Or if the affiliate is using SEO, PPC, or any other traffic source, they are now building a list of buyers.

Great comments, but for those who are product creators and currently using jvzoo have you seen a drop on epcs or open rate since now the affiliates are emailing the same buyers list(after the sale) as the vendors.

Why would your open rate drop due to being added to two lists instead of one? Most people are signed up to a dozen or more lists anyway!

When it comes down to it, your open rate is based on how YOU interact with the list. Poor headlines, lack of communication, and a wide range of other common mistakes is what will hurt your open rates.

Most of the traffic is coming from affiliates' lists. So they have already been mailing prospects.

As Mark said, most people just use it to segment.

Now one thing I've wanted to test was to promote straight to a jvzoo offer that offers 100% affiliate commission using solo ads (which I know is frowned upon), and then use a software like clickjacker to put an exit pop of a free cpa offer if they do not purchase the jvzoo offer, resulting in a BUYERS ONLY list or cpa commission without email or instead of cpa commission use a squeeze page of your own to add to your non buyers list. Just wondering if anyone has tested this out

        You're misunderstanding how this works.

Affiliates don't get the global buyer list, only the vendor gets that... The vendor isn't affected by this feature at all. It's just a convenience for affiliates.

When an affiliate sends traffic, anyone who buys through their link can now be automatically added to a new list in GR (owned by the same affiliate sending the traffic), so buyers of the product can be segmented from the rest of their list(s).

In other words, a lead comes from an affiliate, the lead buys the product, then that buyer gets added to a new list belonging to the same affiliate.

No other affiliates get access to that lead.

        Possible uses:

        1) Fulfill affiliate bonuses for the product.
        2) Suppress the new list from additional promo mails for the product by the affiliate.
        3) Segment a new "active buyer" list from a larger freebie list, etc.

        Make more sense now?

I did not know that about JV ZOO. It would be nice if Warrior Plus would do that

Yes I did misunderstand, it completely changed my perspective now.

Interesting. Remember when ClickBank used to send affiliates the email addresses of people who bought through their affiliate links. They stopped doing that a while back.
