How Many Lists Do You Sign Up For Each Time You Subscribe?

I got onto a warrior list recently, and I couldn't believe the junk which was being sent a number of times a day.

Today, I had enough and decided to unsubscribe, especially as the name on the email ran zero bells.

I clicked on the unsubscribe button, and was asked do you want to unsubscribe from x list only, or all their lists.

I had only subscribed once, and was shocked to find that I had been put on 203 extra lists. No wonder the emails made no sense.

When I sign up for 1 list, I don't expect to go on over 200 lists.

That is one warrior I will never sign up for their list again

When someone subscribers to my list they are put on 2 lists.

For example. If someone buy product a, they go on product a's customer list and a general customer list.

If some one opt's-in in from the squeeze page they are put on product a's prospect list and my general prospect list.

Now, if someone on product a's prospect list buys product a they are removed fro product a's prospect list and put into the product a's customer list.

I would never subscribe someone to a bunch of sublists though. THat is just rediculas.

I've only signed up with the lists of few guys whose information has really helped me in making good money. Sometimes when i come across an "unusually" good product, I subscribe to that person's list in order to see if the information he sends is of value or not, and if not, then I just unsubscribe.
But during all these years nothing similar has happened to me.

Holy crap! It's not unusual to end up on 2-3 lists when I subscribe, but 203? Wow.

Since you didn't recognize the name, was your info being shared with third parties? And if so, did the original list owner have a privacy policy that allowed this?

Yeah I understand 2-3 but 200? That's just awful business ethics.

Becky, I was shocked when I unsubscribed to find that I was subscribed to 1 list (which is the one I signed up for) and 203 linked to it.

I have to say they must be sellling or passing around the names, and I can't remember if the original person had a privacy policy or not.

This is really annoying - Ive had the same happen to me - but not over 200!

Hopefully now your unsubscribed you won't get anymore. The worst thing i've found is that even when you do unsubscribe you sometimes still get them!

Not sometimes, it happens all the time. I do not go close to 200 but it seems like a big waste of time and feels like it creates a confusing nature of mental state.

That is really crazy the worst i have come across is when i go to unsubscribe being told that it may take some time and would have to unsubscribe from about 5 emails before i would actually be removed.
