Start Information Product

I would like to know how to create and market better an information product that comes out of my newly created website -> charleslapointe.net

I've looked at Eben Pagan's The Guru MasterClass, but it's a little bit too expensive for me and I am also unable to find it online for free.

What do you recommend in order to better understand and fast forward to process of mine towards richness?

Thanks,

Charles

Are you talking about packaging some of the information off of your site as a product or creating a new product and having it available for sale on your website? Nice site by the way...

    Hi

You can learn a lot here on the forums and on YouTube.

One of the first things you should do that you are not doing is build a list.

Look through the forums and search YouTube for everything you can learn about building a list and using an autoresponder like Aweber or GetResponse.

This is key, especially in the niche you are in.

You could offer a free ebook "Introducton to Media Marketing for DJ's and Producers". It wouldn't have to be long, just give an overview of the things you cover in your blog with a few drops of "golden nuggets" to impress that you know what you are talking about.

Once people are on your list you can use that as a source of traffic for new blog posts and offers.

Here is a PLR product you could brand as your own and offer as a paid product or as a free incentive instead of an ebook. Put the vidoes in a member site along with other material you put together or cheat sheets that expand on the videos. I've gone through them and they are better than you average PLR videos and seem to be in line with what you talk about in your blog.

    Social Traffic Control

I also (shockingly!) saw no social engagement on your site. No visible twitter feed, no link to a facbook page, no opportunity to leave a comment via facebook.

This free WP plugin links to facebook and allows people to leave comments with their facebook profile. The comments are, by default, checked to also appear on the commenters facebook profile. (for example)

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-comments-plugin/

WP also has many very cool social share plugins.

Find Derek Halpern and his blog Social Triggers. I think you would click with his ideas.

Edit: Oh, now I see the facebook group. I think it should be more clearly identifiable as a link to facebook... i.e. with a facebook logo.

You could also use this plugin to show profiles of people in the group on your site to encourage social sharing. Or something like it.

Thank you so much for your input. It just made everything more clear and I now know what to focus on, but..

Do you have any other suggestions? Also any e-book/programs to look up to?

Because I really want to learn the whole thing from A to Z in an organized fashion.

You're in the right place to learn, that's for sure. Creating an info product isn't as complicated as it seems to be honest.

I've got a couple under my belt and when you finish one, you'll wonder what all the fuss is about.

I think I've seen some offers in the WSO section that cover this.

    Best of luck!
