New Logo for CCArticles (Need Your Opinion)

Hi warriors,

I just hire logonerd to make me a new logo for my article writing service C&C Articles : Cheap and Contented SEO Article Writing Service

And I'm very trouble which will be the best new logo to use. Please do me a favor by selecting the best concept that you feel is the best. You can also let me know any recommendation you have for the concept you like, example colors and graphic

Winson,

One thing to keep in mind when choosing a logo, especially if it's a business logo, is that the artwork needs to look good in basic black.

This means it will still retain its' design appeal if you see it as a faxed copy, for instance.

Colors are a great addition, but if you need the color to bring out its' meaning, or without color it just looks dead, you may want to reconsider the design.

That being said, I like #3. But your graphics guy did a good job on all of them. Kudos.

The logos are fine as far as artwork goes - it's the logo text that may be a problem.

"cheap and contented" means what? I think your intent may be "cheap and full of content" - but that's not what 'contented' means.

peacefully happy and satisfied with the way things are or with what has been done

I'm sure someone will argue that's the message you want to give to customers - but my first reaction to seeing it was the thought "not good in English". It's a red flag when used as a header for a writers-for-hire site.

My vote is for #3. It simple, complete, and to the point. Also, it can easily be understood in a grayscale color scheme. I think it would go great with your current website design(if your planning on keeping it).

from a designer's perspective, I voted for Concept #3. However, you may consider changing its color. I strongly suggest you change the font used for the "CCArticles" word ... They don't seem to fit and it's a very bad font choice. The font of the slogan below is fine.

The other logos seem fine, but I strongly suggest you go on with Concept #3. Sorry but your current logo makes me sick just of looking at it. DO NOT KEEP IT!

You may ask your designer to use Kuler tool from Adobe, in order to decide which colors to use. Kuler colors are uploaded by professional people that have experience in color schemes (Browse by "Most Popular" and "Highest Rated" to get the best results).

Echoing what Killer Joe said above, make sure you check the logos in grey scale or black. Sometimes that can make a difference. I went ahead and converted your proof from LogoNerds for you so you can see it in grey scale

My Opinion...

The font for the "CC"'s in concepts 1-4 don't really fit your site...it would seem a little bit out of place.

Since your site is all sans serif, I would stick to a logo font that is also sans serif...

I like #1 and #2... but they probably look a little antiquated. If that's the look you want, then I'd choose one of those.

If you're looking for something less fancy, then #3 is pretty good.

Here are a few samples - for an idea of color only. I don't have your fonts:

CCArticles
If you like that font, it's Lucida Calligraphy. The colors are Green and Dark Teal (based on MS Word's color scheme).

Blue is used to represent authority (as in police uniforms). Green is a passive color, but I think red would be too much of a contrast.

I like your graphic in #2 but I do not like the font you used for "articles" - but really like the orange version #4 - it's very lively and eye-catching.

You have to decide on the message you want to project: authoritative, lively, commercial, formal, informal. That will determine the font choice and the best colors for you. Also it helps to understand what certain colors mean. Many people do not like orange.

Could go for CC in Red and "Articles" in bright "reflex" blue
The strongest tones in copy right? Headlines... Red = Emotion Blue = power

If you use a pen image go even more modern & clean.
Again - the simple black & white rule.
Is it powerful as a sillouette (sp) or glyph on its own

Not sure about Contented and Cheap Sorry, but doesn't speak well at all.

Position as more quality if appropriate with Creative & Consistent or Concise
@ $5 plus people expect it.

I would definitely go for the Creative in the name, but would also drop cheap as well - that doesn't sound right, at least with me. Can't come up with a decent one to replace it... Can't get rid of "cool" swirling around in my head

The reason I use cheap is that there is a search demand for this keyword.
