Where I do get traffic for this niche?

For example, a niche in gambling.. what's the best traffic traffic source to use? I used keyplanner and saw that the lowest avg monthly search is 600,000+ searches and for November is over 1,000,000. So i guess that's a good thing. correct? help. thanks

I think you want to find a sub niche within gambling, high searches say 60,000 low competition.

I would look at other gambling sites that are successful and do some research on those

The very best traffic source is where your niche audience spends the most time in addition to search engine traffic. I'm assuming a large percentage of search traffic is comprised of beginners. People who are already using a gambling site, and are happy with it for whatever reason, will continue using it and drop out of search traffic; they'll go directly to their site of choice. Right?

I have no idea about the gambling audience and social media, or why they'd be on social media unless it's related to contact or communications with friends. In other words, I'm not so sure they'd be there for a reason related to gambling.

You cannot tell much from the single keyword, gambling. What exactly are they looking for unless you want to assume they want to find an online gambling site?

So perhaps try searching for the various forms of gambling such as roulette or something else - poker or the different types of poker games.

Search for forums related to gambling games, types of poker or poker or roulette, and then look at the sizes of the forums - number of members. Then maybe see if you can get an idea of any social media sites where the gambling forum members hang out.

I used keyplanner and saw that the lowest avg monthly search is 600,000+ searches and for November is over 1,000,000. So i guess that's a good thing. correct? help. thanks
It's a good thing if you can capitalize on it, and it's a good thing because it tells you there are many people interested in that market/niche. But you have to figure out how to make it a good thing for you.

    Simple answer: Youtube.

I cover the gambling niche with a few different affiliate offers. While there are plenty of places to secure traffic, your best bet (pun intended) is Youtube. Rank your videos in YT and Google SERPs.

PPV might be good for gambling related offers - you can target
the popular sites in your niche and pop up your offer over them.
Alot of gambling promotions seem to use PPV traffic so I guess
it must be effective in that market.

Maybe take a look at 50onRed, TrafficVance, MediaTraffic to
    start with.

I don't know the gambling market, so I'd probably take a look at
BoxOfAds, Adbeat, WhatRunsWhere and/or Spyfu to see who,
in the market is, advertising, how they are doing it and where.

no one likes affiliate linksn put your forum/website link instead and say that the content is taken from there, that's how you get traffic, if your website is good people will check it

Gambling is an interesting niche. To better understand the niche, you should really dig in and find some basic demographic information. Primarily male. tends to be a higher income bracket. tend to drink. 20% overall might say they are addicted.

You start looking at data such as that, and I immediately see parallel marketing opportunities. If for example you were to target an audience on say facebook. Male Golfers would be a good place to start. More often than not, you put four guys on a golf course and money is going to change hands.

Pick a sport any sport and you stand a 60% chance that the male audience your ad is placed in front of is a gambler. Do the same for females, and you only have a 20% chance.

BUT stick an ad targeting women drinkers, and you boost your possible target audience for gambling up to 48%

Demographics make the marketing world go round. If you don't understand how to use them to your advantage let alone find them, you can simply be spinning your wheels.

Start were you are comfortable. I started way back in the day with page posting ( there really wasn't "blogs" yet ) and drew traffic that way. Today, I use blog writing as well as ad spending and forum advertising / I mean posting!

how to find basic demographics? "gambling demographics" in your basic search engine does the trick. Once you get addicted to using demographics, you can find demographic services, thatgive you access to the way more in depth stuff. Its not just the numbers, but the science to get to the numbers, and a lot of data not found anywhere on the net.

Yes you can break those key words down and find a less competitive search rate with good volume of traffic.Don't use terms that are saturated.I have an example below. Gambling alone has 14'800 searches per month and red basket has a search rate of 174 .Instead of using "gambling" alone you can break i down and use red baskets gambling ,less search volume but more traffic and attention would go to your offer.

    gambling
    14,800

    Redbaskets
    170

The forum advice is a good idea, also I would think about what part of the gambling market you are going to focus on. Slot and Poker players would have interest in different information i.e where are new slots at vs. a betting strategies. Good niche to dig around in.

    Hey,

Find out where the people who are heavily interested and involved in your niche hang-out. For instance, those interested in making money online hang out at WarriorForum .

Also try Facebook ads, twitter ads, google adwords, and other ad platforms!

You want to go in to a niche that gets max 30,000 Google searches per month (if you are going to rely on SEO for traffic). If your niche is gambling, I would narrow it down to a sub niche.

    Hope this helps

Remember that online gambling is illegal in the US. Only in certain state boarders by certain licensed operators is it allowed. This means you will most likely be promoting an illegal online casino such as bovado. The rules and regulations have gotten stricter within this niche over the years. Be very careful not to leave a footprint if you insist on promoting gambling. Nothing is allowed in adwords in the US. I would stick to SEO or media buy campaigns and not touch anything paid. Like someone said there are many subniches in this vertical. Forex, FantasySport, bingo, online scratch cards are just naming a few.
