Does tech stuff like websites slow or stop you?

I'm curious to know how many people here are having trouble with the technology end of things. Are you having trouble building websites and knowing how to put your own products on the internet and doing all the technical stuff that goes along with marketing on the internet? Does trying to learn all this and searching for the information and putting all the pieces together kick your ass?

For everyone that is in this boat please share the things that are frustrating you right now.

For everyone that has progressed past all the frustrations and headaches and is making things happen please share information, training products, memberships, coaches and resources that helped you get where you are.

I think that when it comes to technology, many people experience fear. Maybe a fear of the unknown, or perhaps a fear of looking foolish to those around them.

Strange thing is - that response is learned. And the solution is very simple: play with it.

If you have seen a child approach something new, perhaps a computer, they are completely fearless and full of curiosity, and mistakes don't even register as mistakes (until they're taught what a mistake is). In short, they play with it.

That childlike condition is very powerful, and although perhaps long forgotten, is still accessible to every adult. A built-in high performance state.

Software is one of the easiest things to explore through play because it can almost always be set up in a safe way where it's impossible to break anything.

For websites / blogs / scripts etc. something like WAMP or MAMP enables a full server setup on your local machine.

Install PHP 5 Apache MySQL on Windows : WampServer

This can be a sandbox/playpen for learning and trying out new ideas.

Any problem can be broken down the the point where the component pieces are trivial. If it looks like you are facing an overwhelming task, technological or otherwise, break it down and tackle it one piece at a time.

There is nothing new under the sun. Any challenge you have is likely to have been faced before. You can search the forum or google with different keywords to find your answer. If there are no results there then just ask.

Of all the questions/problems I see posted on the WF I think the lion's share could have been answered with a quick search.

Many of the remainder could probably have been worked out by playing with things or setting up a test, with all the resultant benefits and feelings of accomplishment that arise from discovering things for yourself instead of simply being spoon-fed the answers.

The best way is outsource your technical work to freelancers where they can get your things done faster.

You can always go to scriptlance.com to post your problems and you can always get a cheapest bid.

Don't try to figure out technical problems because you will lose more money and time for the problems that do not generate you money. Get someone to solve the problems and everything will keep on going.
