Making Money Online in 2015

Hey Everyone

We are nearly at the end of another year I thought a great idea would be to ask everyone the following ...

What strategy are you going to follow to make money online in 2015?

Who knows your answer could be a Christmas gift for someone

Like I have been doing ...focusing on Email Marketing. And my relationships within this context.

Iam really cutting down on all the blogging and just streamlining things down in a big way

That's a great idea...I've always liked the idea of putting your own label on an already made product for you. Smart!!

As for me...focus on my PPC adverting campaign and also find ways to cross sell related products or offers.

That question / topic is actually what drew me out of the lurker shadows here. I've been selling on various e-commerce sites since 1999 with moderate success (2x revenue increase 2014 over 2013), but I'm sensing a big shift coming and I want to get ahead of the curve.

I think a price showdown is coming with Alibaba/11Main entering the US market and Amazon toying with "Best Offer" options. Thanks to the information guru glut on the subject, the number of sellers on all platforms continues to swell. As a result, I've noticed far more sellers on the hot items this year than ever before.

Based on the above, I believe the typical wholesale or arbitrage items you can find via Google are going to be commodity pricing next year. That means I need to do one of a few things:

        1) Develop my own product
        2) Private label someone else's product
        3) Chase a niche that Amazon isn't onto yet
        4) Go against the flow and get aboard the slow living / artisan / buy local train, essentially bringing the internet back offline.

I know that I, as a consumer, am overwhelmed by the number of options online. From my standpoint, there are too many shopping sites, too many blogs, too many newsletters, too much information. My desire is to simplify my information consumption and shopping, and based on conversations I believe other people are as well.

So, I'm here reading what the smart people are saying to see if I can come up with some good ideas to catch another wave. I know I didn't answer your question directly, but hoping my brain dump sparks an idea for someone.

I'm going to keep up what I'm doing now, which is primarily blogging and affiliate marketing.

However next year I'm also going to focus on writing more eBooks, as well as outsourcing more of my work. Working less and earning more sounds good to me!

Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.

What are you going to be doing BernardR ?

I've had a great first 18 months online - been lucky, worked hard and made good money.

Going to focus on my new coaching site this spring and majoring in FB advertising and extending my JV's.

Same strategy i've been doing for the last 10 years. Paid advertising.

This will take the lead for me, but of course i will do a little free marketing (like i am now obviously). Mainly to stay on top of the marketplace, and network with people also who know what they are doing when it comes to making money.

2015 will be focused on Paid Advertising mostly and some on free methods just to keep the momentum going.

If you are involved in IM, paid traffic saves you a lot of time but still needs cultivating.

You can throw traffic in front of any offer but what counts more than that...

Is the amount of people we help and are in 'service' to as marketers.

My main focus will be recurring income based on my own product launches and services.

I like to be in full control so to say.

I will also build larger affiliate sites where I'll add a newsletter to build a list, somehing I never did before.

Most of my products/services will heavily rely on SEO, that's why recurring income is important for me as I obvious depend on Google.

      Why SEO?

      1) It's my core business

      2) Organic traffic is one of the highest quality forms of traffic you can get, after all you can tailor it so people are looking for you instead of you looking for them.

SEO can be niche dependent though, sometimes social proof is needed to make that sale.

When I think about your question . . . I get an image of a young & old crow.

The young crow is the one hopping from one shiny object to another (like most of us when we started out on the internet.)

The old crow is the one that stays in their nest high above the noise of all those young crows crowing about the latest and greatest "New-Op" or new whatever they are now pecking away at . . .

I've (been there and done that) young crow routine far longer than I dare admit . . .

so, 2015 and far beyond will be me sticking to one method to "Git-ur-done" effectively and profitably.

How about some of the rest of you?

I am getting rid of projects that didn't convert and concentrate on the fruitful ones. As far as internet marketing goes, I will be focusing a little bit more on Amazon, as the company is expanding into South Asia. $$$$.

Strategies dont change much, except for the fact that you need to rely less and less upon search engines for traffic, specifically Google.

Going to get into Kindle Publishing and up my game in email marketing/list building. It's no secret that the Kindle platform presents a great opportunity to create passive income as there are quite a few "Kindle Millionaires" already (with the majority of them being in the Fiction market).

As for email marketing, there's a reason why all the top marketers do it. It works in almost any niche and it also makes your earning potential exponentially higher, whether you have your own products or you're just an affiliate.

Two awesome income sources worth investing in, wouldn't you agree?

    Cheers,
    Daniel

I have followed the same strategy for 5 years now and see no reason to change.

Product Creation followed up by Email Marketing.

Many reasons to keep doing so:
      • As I sell my own products I make more money on the front end than selling other peoples products.
      • As I sell my products I am building a targeted list of buyers.
      • Once I have a targeted list of buyers it is so much easier to engage with them and get offers in front of their eyes that I know that they will find irresistible and be interested in. Increasing sales on the back end, decreasing refunds, and retaining subscribers longer.
      • Not reliant on google traffic or rankings, so it's a fairly stable model.
