Have Been Locked in a room without a Computer for "6 Months"

Hi All,

I have spent 6 months away from online ventures due to my offline life. I know the world of internet marketing is an ever changing beast so I am wondering what have been the biggest changes in the last 6 months. How should I update my strategies for developing websites and getting traffic.

Sending out the Question to all ............ What still works and what new strategies would you take up ?

Thanks in Advance

What still works? The best answer would be your brain.

Since you've been around this forum for quite a time now, I guess you must be knowing the basics of IM. Take your time man, 6 months is lot of time but that won't change how things work.

P.S. Yeah, google must have updated the PR of one of your websites (if any)!

The same strategy that has worked for the last 200 years off and on line.

    1. Product - or one to promote

    2. Shop window - website

    3. Shoppers - website visitors

And of course absolute dedication and commitment.

Mind is still 90% of success and always will be.

    Only the lies change.

Marketing has developed over thousands of years and there is nothing new - only the words used to sell it.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

Not much has changed about marketing, but so many Warriors seem to have become obsessed with creating thousands of rewrites of the same articles, polluting search indexes with rehashes of the same information for short term gains, rather than doing work that helps build a long term business.

It seems like writing massive numbers of "articles", and rewriting them a half dozen times over each, is all anyone talks about here anymore.

Well, you'll find loads of new products, but only a fraction of them offering something new. So yeah, basically it's all about old wine in a new bottle. Just go through forums and blogs, and you'll be soon back on track.

All I can say is, you luck sod.

Once my coaching is over I intend going offline for good -- which should be by the end of the year.

At least I'm going to get rid if the internet from my home and just check the absolute essentials in the local library.

I know some will wonder why but I'm just tired of the internet and know I can do better offline.

I agree with Art. Calling attention to yourself and being able to persuade haven't changed since... forever. Doing it within the a specific communication channel however requires some adaptation.

You're lucky thought. Nothing significant happened over the interwebs.
