Internet Marketing Educational Sources

What are the best websites/blogs/youtube channels to educate yourself about Internet Marketing. We all know Warrior Forum is an excellent source but what else can we use to supplement with as well?

Not sure about websites/blogs/youtube channels, but I would say courses by Dan Kennedy (GKIC.com) particularly "Magnetic Marketing", and any MLM training by David Williams, Rob Fore, and Tom "Big Al" Schreiter (available as Kindle ebooks from Amazon). I have been working a major MLM company going on for almost 19 years, and used these materials in my own webinars and offline seminars. Another resource I highly recommend for generating traffic and leads is "Turn Words Into Traffic", by Jim and Dallas Edwards, also available on Amazon.

This was all part of my own early training provided by my upline, sponsor and mentors which I have included into my own downline training system. These fundamental basics can be applied to virtually any online/offline affiliate program, but because they are so easy to duplicate it is particularly an extremely powerful training package to quickly build a large MLM network.

Making money online is very broad. Over the years, I've come to realize that I prefer specific courses for whatever I want to learn. For example, if I wanted to be a ghostwriter or have a PLR store, I'd look for specific products that teach me each of those things. While it may seem like a bigger investment, I think it also encourages the person to take action to get their money back and then some. I'd recommend checking out Ghostwriting Cash and PLR ATM (.com) to learn about these models.

This is an excellent point and also hints at one way people new to online marketing get in trouble. There is so much available to learn about IM, and newer people (to IM) often feel they need to learn as much as possible.

That happened to me years ago. I wasted an incredible amount of time learning as much as possible. Everything looked important, so I learned about it instead of using my existing knowledge and doing something.

I suggest you decide on your business plan, what you want to do, and then how you intend to go about marketing what you want to sell. How will you get traffic? What will be your most important marketing and (possibly) advertising tasks on a daily basis?

Once you decide on all that, look at what you know or need to learn and proceed from there.

However, there are some areas in online marketing that are important to either all or most marketers. For example, conversion rate optimization (CRO) is something that's important to all online marketers. It does not matter what you're selling, whether your own products or affiliate products. Even if it's just trying to get opt-ins, conversions are important.

I'll give you some links to a few sources that I feel are credible and valuable. They provide research as well as actionable advice you can use.

You can opt-in to their newsletters, recommended, or visit their sites and read (and learn).

Also, I am not affiliated with them in any way. I receive their newsletters and think they're good and worth recommending.

This link was in their most recent newsletters; it's about things that adversely impact conversion rate.

This next link is for Neil Patel's blog about online marketing. He offers very good information, research and case studies, and he always supports everything he says with research. And of course he always gives actionable advice.

Be sure to check out all the guides on the right side just below the fold.

Here's another link from the Crazy Egg blog. It's about online marketing and was in their latest newsletter.

Hope that is useful and good luck.

The best sources are those with actionable step by step content. There is a lot of hype and b.s out there, and one thing you do not want to be doing is listening to all the hype and b.s and all the other distractions jumping around from one thing to the next. Find somebody that you feel you can trust and that provides good value. The next thing you want to do is take action everyday from the skills you have learned, and never give up.

As far as online resources for learning about Internet marketing, Tropical MBA and Self Publishing Podcast are two of my favorites. I like others but those are probably my favorites.

Don't buy anything, seriously.....don't buy anything, at least at first.

Start at Moz. I know that's not the most popular name around here, but there's some great stuff there both in the blog section, as well as in the little talked about Q&A section.

More than anything else though-first and foremost, take action!
