Products: Do you outsource (out task) or write them yourself?

What is your method of operation? Do you write most of your own stuff or do you farm it out to a writer? Perhaps you do a little of each. Why have you chosen to produce products that way?

My belief has been that most people outsource product creation, but maybe that's just not the case.

It depends if you are new in this stuff you must create it yourself. But if you have experience about the number of sales you can generate, then you outsource the job.

I don't do any writing myself anymore... I outsource everything.

The reason is because Im damn lazy and more importantly I dont enjoy writing for lots of the niches Im involved with

I outsource graphics, design and coding, and I have a personal assistant who manages a lot of my email.

I also outsource articles and blog posts for some of the niches I'm involved in.

As far as creating products is concerned however, I do that myself. That's why I outsource as much of the other stuff as I can.

When it comes to writing a product, the writer has to know the field well enough to create great material. It's hard to find people who are that knowledgeable in an area. Once they know enough about an area, they tend create their own products rather than creating them for others. :-)

I wrote my own IM product but I am currently outsourcing a niche product in a niche that I don't know crap about except how to market to.

Well, if this is just a survey, I create all my own stuff.

If it's a "what's better" question, depends on the individual. Some people are
gifted writers and still outsource it because they want to crank out more
products. Others aren't so gifted but create the product themselves because
they want to feel that it's really theirs.

There is no right or wrong. It's what's best for you. And for me, best is
creating my own products, even though I know I could make 5 times my
income if I just outsourced the crap out of all the ideas I have.

Hey, never said I was the smartest businessman in the world.

I outsource all my articles but have yet been brave enough to trust someone to write a whole report or ebook for me. There are so many details that I need to be sure are covered and it seems easier to just do it myself.

              Hello,

In my opinion you need to be aware of your high payoff activities, those things that ring the cash register. Why do five dollar an hour work, when you can outsource it or delegate to someone else!

Most people just have a hard time letting go, they feel like if they have to do it all themselves. I'm guilty of that as well!

But, we need to focus on the things that we are good at and produces the greatest amount of money for us.

              Just my opinion,

This morning I got up, logged on, and outsourced my face. That was the start. Here at work someone said, "mornin' Rick, how are ya?" I replied, "mornin' Colleen. I'm outsourcing your answer."

                She liked that. : )

2 words...pen names. If you are concerned that the ebook will be connected with your name, then create a persona and run with it. I am sure a lot of people won't agree with me here, but alot of marketers do it and make a good amount of money doing it.

I learned a long time ago not to outsource reports or ebooks if I intended to attach my name to them. However, all bets are off if you use pen names.

Outsourcing everything should be the goal. You are a marketer and not a writer. This is true for all the other stuff involved like site and link building etc.
