Hi everyone.

I have read about internet marketing for the past month and I am about to begin my journey in this industry soon and I need some advise.

I am trying to fully understand the concept of IM.
Is it better to start with one specific niche and build a website or blog around it?
Should I start building many micro niche blogging sites?

What type of content should the site have? Should it be just a plain informative website with little updates on it? Or more updated content driven websites?

If I have a website with content, should I make affiliate products reviews often?

Should I have both a website and a blog for my specific niche?

Say, the website for content, while the blog for affiliate sales?

Talk to me as you would to a total newbie!

Thanks in advance.

For a newbie, you're asking way too much advance questions, LOL.

Yes, start with one specific niche. Since you are just started, I would say forget about building micro niche blogging sites. Just build one website, put enough high quality content and don't forget to offer something for free inside your website so you can gather lists. Meaning, you need to have an autoresponder account. Do this first, then go for the next step.

Looking at your questions, you don't really know what you're doing. I can see that you're overwhelm with information overload. If you're a newbie, and you're going into the SEO direction, then you will be disappointed.

I would personally stick with one area at a time and find a route to market that suits your own personality. It WILL take time and a fair amount of patience, but it's worth it and especially if you can wave goodbye to any future boss.

As for content and sites, having your links on either a website or blog doesn't really matter, so long as you don't saturate the pages with product links and ads, as this will appear spammy and unappealing to any new visitor. Certainly keep the pages fresh and updated, as this will not only make people want to come back for more, but help with Google and the main search engines.

I am assuming with all that on your mind, you wouldn't take action,
I would higly suggest pick 1 thing take action on it and than scale it.

I had been there, overloaded with a lot of info and not taking action, that is actually IOS.
    information overload syndrome..

I just made it up, but dont be its vectim.
    Hope that helps.

I'd go for a quality content site/blog that gives your visitor value. Then you can put up some recommended products links and/or banners so that you can earn money along the way. And don't forget to build your list at the same time.

Yes it is better to start with one specific niche and don't go for many micro niche blogging sites as a newbie.
Target your audience, build a blog or website according to your niche , put best content , do optimization for your site , monitor your site , advertise your affiliate products . that's all

Since you are on a tight budget.. a thing I have been through when i was starting out. You should use your skills, the things you have learnt so far to ample use.

From your very first post, I got the feeling you know a thing or two.. thats just my opinion, I can be wrong.

You can either freelance for sometime to make some money, thats what I did. And once you have enough, you can start to scale it.. And by that I mean invest in yourself, in the form of educating yourself.

But since you are on a tight budget, that mean you must have something. This is a long road but it pays off and pays off good, ofcourse if you do it the right way.

Try starting with a wordpress blog, write post and attract audience, how? there are tons of free traffic sources, the most easiest and the quality one is guest blogging and linking back, once you establish some content and post it to other blogs as well.

If you have a great content and providing value to the users, you will defintly gonna rock from that single blog.

Now keep in mind that, while building your blog and content you need to build your list along the way, that is your most valuable asset. u can use free wordpress pop up plugins for that, offering them a freebie if they sign up.

Like i said its a long and hardwork road and it eventually pays off if you stick to it and thats where most people fail.

SO? MORAL? Stick to what you start.. and keep it simple for your ownself to keep you motivated and do not overwhelm yourself.

See how I broke down your forum thread into readable, specific questions that might make more sense to fellow warriors?

Start by being more specific and clear about your questions. When you make more sense, you make much more than cents.

The easiest way to visualise Internet Marketing or Making Money Online is as follows:

Traffic >> Something of Value >> Customers

Of course its a little more complicated than that when you get into the detail but in essence it doesn't matter if you are building a niche website or eBay the principle is the same.

Of course, anything you do online or offline in Business should start with research and a plan.

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Yeah, like these guys said... just do one thing... focus on only one thing rather than 50 things at once.
