Hi,

I am starting SEO project on 3 websites at once and this can get pretty messy. I'm looking to keep proper track of assignments, keywords , competitor analysis, SERP Tracking, generate client report, etc.

What are the recommended all around solution preferably free however if it is worth it I'm willing to pay low monthly fee.

Thanks

You can easily keep track of all your pertinent data for each website on a spreadsheet. Even OpenOffice offers a free spreadsheet option that might work for you.

Openoffice can do so much... I am looking for something less manual and more automated in reporting and getting SERP results as well, proper reporting, competitor analysis, etc. I have limited budget so if there is a free tool it would be ideal or at least a low monthly rate.

Good point. OpenOffice is a little clunky and as you said not automated. I will keep my eyes open for something else that has more automation.

Looked into it but this is not something I need. Let me simplify my requirements. Let go of reporting. I want to focus on going task completion.

There are 15 steps (each with it's own monthly rate, each with time frame of two weeks, different time for each step) repeating monthly, at same time of the month.
There are 3 websites. Each need to pass all 15 steps. Each month for three months.

I also need to calculate how much all steps cost me (prices very from suppliers)
Also, if possible to have some type of progress bar next to each website of how many steps have been completed.

What would be the best why to keep track of everything, stand in time frame and save time to have some life?

You could try Trello, check it out. It is a great organization for a lot of things.

Sounds like you need a project management software with gantt charts. You might want to look at this free spreadsheet from Vertex42 which may be able to do exactly what you need. Check it out first before trying any paid-for solutions. Free Gantt Chart Template for Excel

You could also try Trello https://trello.com/ as mentioned earlier, but I don't know if it utilizes Gantt charts. But it's free, and worth looking at.

There are many others, including MS Project (online and standalone, expensive), AceProject (Free & up) Project Plan ($25 and up) Basecamp ($25/month and up), AtTask ($30/month and up), and many others.

A couple of other products I've used that that are not "project management software" per se, but very good task/goal organizers are My Life Organized, and Goal Enforcer.

I haven't provided links to any other than the first free option, but you can find them by doing a quick Google search using the names I've mentioned.

      Good luck!

I would defiantly look into those, and update this thread. Thanks for the heads up
