Links from own website on sub domain

Hello,

So I own a web site that hosts wordpress websites on sub domains and the wordpress web sites link to my website.

just in case you don't understand.

somesite.mysite.com links to mysite.com with do follow link text "Site Hosted By MySite.com"
othersite.mysite.com links to mysite.com with do follow link text "Site Hosted By MySite.com"

etc...
(no I don't own "mysite.com" just needed an example...)

How will this affect my SEO or will it do anything at all?

All the blogs really don't have anything to do with my main site.

    Once upon a time that was an approved method...and highly touted...
    But now....unrelated site will not be much help except perhaps to direct some traffic.
