How do I find the Direct Link to The ebook I downloaded

I don't think I made myself clea. I downloaded a free ebook that I want to give away as a bonus. I would like to find out how I can get the direct link to the ebook so I won't need a auto responder.

If I'm reading you right, you found a free ebook someone else was giving away, and now you want to use it as an enticement or bonus for taking some action that benefits you. I'm guessing you're looking for affiliate sales.

First off, do you have permission to give the book away?

Second, you want the book owner to front the storage and bandwidth for you giving his book away while bypassing whatever process he had set up?

Sorry to sound like Scrooge here, but I'm not helping anyone steal intellectual property or bandwidth. Humbug...

If you just want to give away the book, you do need somewhere to host it. It could be as simple as a free Dropbox account.

To build a list, you will need some type of email service. Autoresponder companies are the most common.

The typical sequence is something like this:

        1. Send people to a landing page, where they enter their email address into a form.
        2. If you use single opt-in, send them to a page telling them to expect a download link in their email.
2a. If you use confirmed opt-in, send them to a page with instructions on how to confirm their email and make sure your emails get through. Lots of posts on this if you hunt for them.
        3. Email them the link to your ebook.

Lots of variations possible as your campaigns get more sophisticated, but that's the basics.

You can get basic web hosting for under $5/month and a domain name for ~$10/year. If you don't need a timed sequence, you don't really need an autoresponder to start with. You can use the mailing list scripts provided with almost all hosting accounts. Set it up as an "announcement list" so you can email them, but they can't email each other.

It's possible to start with no hosting or email service, but it's more complicated and/or labor intensive, and if you hit it big and need to scale up, there could be problems. If you have the budget, start with a domain name, basic hosting account and basic email service. Life will be much simpler.
