How To Create a Blog

Hi All

Just wondered what the best way to go about this is. I have read some posts on creating blogs but what is truly the best way to set about it and what are the main benefits of blogging??

I am shortly going to be doing some article marketing (submitting to the usual article databases). My articles would then point to a Squidoo Lens.

However, I have read some post which recommend using a blog (either aswell as using Squidoo or instead of).

At this stage, I do not know what my exact Niche will be - just wanted thoughts and advice.

    Blogging is a platform..With proper blogs you will have a base from where you can start offering products or services and earn cash..

    Think of a blog as store in the internet market place..Only you have to provide first valuable information before you can expect people to buy the products that you recommend there..

    The benefits of creating a blog is having a launch pad to start making money online at almost ZERO cost to you..

      Thanks guys......so where is best to get a blog set up then and what should be on there ??

      If there are any good free guides out there on this subject, that would help - save me asking basic questions all of the time!!

    I prefer newsletters to blogs however blogs have the important advantage of backlinks and comments(social proof). A mixed strategy is the best but I've yet to see someone doing it right.
