INTERNET MARKETING

I have seen information on the web regarding third party hosting offered for free on many membership sites that teach internet marketing. Is it more beneficial to purchase independent hosting or is third party free hosting equally as good?. I am not concerned about the extra cost of paying for my own hosting, I really would like to hear from people with solid experience on this issue please. Sincerely Poppa.

Buy your own hosting package from one of the top hosting providers out there (I use and recommend Arvixe) if you are planning to host many sites. But if you want to host 1 or 2 sites, use the free hosting service provided by the membership site.

VPS is the way to go if you can afford it.

  IMHO, dedicated is far better than VPS (which I would never use) for so many reasons, however, you will pay a lot more.

  But he shouldn't be too humble because he's right. However it really depends on your needs, and if you do'nt expect tons of traffic then you can save a lot of money though.
  
  Shared hosting is just for beginning sites though, there is nothing unlimited about it, keep that in mind...

  I completely agree Simon. I messed around with shared hosting, namely Hostgator, and for a time it was okay, but then the real problems started to sink in. For instance, I launched my first eBook and created 8 landing pages for it and linked them all to my PPC campaigns. When the traffic started to flood in, my site went down and I lost conversions because my shared hosting account simply couldn't deal with it.
  
  I shopped around for a bit and have settled with Offshore SEO VPS. I've not looked back since. Their support is great and I've not had any down time, which for me is paramount.
  
  I suggest you shop around and see what suits your needs.

I use a2hosting.com

Free backup that does a daily backup everyday up to 30 days.

If you get hacked or your mess up your ass is covered. It is affordable and fast.

I recommend this hosting company to my clients. (I am not one of their affiliates currently)

Some things you find 'free' online are good....BUT, if you're really serious about online marketing, I would NOT use free hosting.
You will start finding out all the things you can not do with your free account from day one.
Not recommended.
If you have the means, dedicated hosting is the way to go.
If not, consider shared hosting.

AVOID FREE HOSTING AT ALL COSTS

It will be soo hard on you later down the road.

I recommend HostGator. Its cheap and it very good.

All the hosting platforms above are great hosting solutions. If you are just in the start of your online business and don't have the funds for vps...go with hostgator or bluehost! both are very cheap and simple to use.

Free is not quite enough good for us. I'm using Offshore SEO VPS a longtime. Cheap and reliable. I would recommend this one.For starting your business you should choose them.

  I'd avoid EIG and 1and1, as well as GoDaddy, myself.
  
  Regarding hosts in general, beware of out-of-date information posted by members who are not familiar with which hosting companies are now owned by the dreaded EIG conglomerate, whose business model appears to be that of taking over previously good hosting companies and rapidly turning them into unreliable companies whose customer service is a disaster. Warriors are leaving EIG-owned hosts in droves, because they've become so unreliable and their customer-service so unresponsive. Many people explain the position pretty clearly in these recent threads ...

If I were you I would go for the safe, simple, easier and better option of buying hosting from..

sites like Godaddy, BlueHost, Hostgator or 1&1 for a few dollars a month

  For various reasons explained in some detail, with links and references provided above, huge numbers of Warriors are finding that these are high on the list of companies to avoid, for hosting.
