Default A Google surprise from using Twitter

I've been wondering whether this was a fluke or not and so far it seems that this is a definite NOT.

Here's the "surprise" I've noticed and wondered if you had too?
  1. Register a new domain to test this.
  2. Create a new Twitter account and complete the profile - it's very important that you include the new domain URL to a website in the profile. Feel free to post a tweet or not, it seems to make no difference during my tests.
  3. DO NOT reference that new domain anywhere else on the net.
  4. Now wait and see how fast google indexes that new URL...
In all of my tests that new website was indexed in days, I think the longest was just over a week.

Also, if you secure a high demand KEYWORD as your twitter account username you will "miraculously" appear on the first page of Google for that phrase.

For how long this will remain is anyone's guess, but using my "magpie marketing technique" to push the other birds out of the search nest is pretty cool either way.

{Think this isn't powerful??? Think again. GoDaddy offers this 'check twitter' feature as part of their domain registration process now. Very cool...}

Make of this info what you will. It's still pretty flimsy with the Twitter data but I figured I'd share it sooner rather than later.
