      The sarcasm of this made me LoL

      However a lot of those traffic methods still work today and the post linked to has a lot of good info, such as the list of sites where you can embed videos to get more views, as one example.

    I found the article to be outdated. 2009 was a long time ago in internet years.

    But your mileage may vary....oh, and things in your rear view mirror may be closer than they seem.

      Well, for starters, YouTube dumped video responses more than a year ago, plus a number of the links in the article are dead.

      The article quoted was published 5+ years ago. In internet marketing, a span of 5 years encompasses vast amounts of changes.

      Gee, she left out guest books, free for all sites and Usenet newsgroups.

      To be fair, Kim roach is a smart cookie. And many of them might work, but executing them isn't automatic or guaranteed. And some, like the suggestion to hire people to view, like, vote for, etc. your site or content are pretty much a violation of most worthwhile sites' TOS and likely to get you banned.

      Oh, and in 2014 (soon to be 2015), none of those sources are "untapped" - many have been spammed out of existence.

      I do give the OP credit for trying, though I challenge the assertion that "they still work."

    It's amazing how fast the internet is changing, especially advertising. Any "untapped" resource quickly becomes over spammed.

      As a guess, I would think a year in the regular world is about equal to 5 years in the internet world.

      Some things might still work but it would be difficult to figure out which ones did without trying them all. And then you have used up time and energy.

      There are places to get free traffic still, social media platforms, posts on others' properties with links, comments, slideshare decks, just many things have been passed on by and replaced by others.

        Hi Michael

        We would even bring the numbers down further.

        Maybe even 3 to 6 months in the real world is equal to 5+ years in the IM world now.

        The speed of change in 2014 has been unparalleled and we reckon that 2015 will be faster again.
