The Most Profitable Niches For 2015

I got this message below from someone:

According to a recent survey of top marketers, the two top "niches" for profit in 2015 will be:
1. Mobile Monetization
Mobile traffic is growing by leaps and bounds, but the real money to be made in mobile is largely going to go to big corporations... or individuals who make a major breakthrough in simplifying complex technologies.

2. Forbes Estimates 60 Billion by 2020 in the second most profitable niche....

And the 2nd most profitable niche for 2015 is perfect for solo business owners, and is estimated to generate almost 33 Billion in revenue this year...
It isn't technical at all, and it's still growing!
------

Anyone care to suggest what the second most profitable niche is? Any other profitable niches for 2015 you can think of?

Thank you

Although my business is a little different then the article suggest.

100% of my time and a decent chunk of my capital is devoted to #1 and has been for 2 years.

I simply do not understand why the Mobile section of WF is not top 3 in views, post and comments.

IMHO it definitely should be :-)

I don't think "mobile monetization" is going to see a lot of activity as a niche for individual internet marketers.

What they're referring to is really is more of a tech & services trend than a "niche" in the typical IM sense of the word.

And very few individual IM'ers are in a position to make money from this as it revolves around banking, monetary movement & clearing, near-field RF, etc. - think "ApplePay".

That said, there may be some opportunities as an affiliate - though I don't know of any mobile payment systems that have affiliate programs - or perhaps with an informational or 'how to' site.

Depending on your definition of IM, I could not disagree more,

If you look at typical "offline" mobile offerings, small biz mobile apps, mobile sites, SMS, loyalty products, certain affiliate products, just to name a few, which to me, are all a niche today, as the education spreads and these become more mainstream, I see huge potential for IM in 2015... This article does not reference those but it will exist..

Through certain channels these and many other mobile offerings are being sold now through IM exclusively...

Now if your definition of IM is just simply biz-ops, niche blogs, then you are correct...

Good points, though when I think of the term "profitable niches", I tend to think more in terms of specific categories of interest rather than business models.

Totally understand your point also, however if you think about it, mobile in itself is a niche with sub-niche's under that umbrella, I guess it depends just how you look at it....

How you define a niche / business model etc.... and IM for that matter...

Mobile is not a niche unless you are selling mobile marketing solutions to end users. And if that is the case, it sounds like a market past the early adopter stage. That's cool because that means for the most part the technology is stable and you don't have to spend your marketing effort on education (for the most part)

The most profitable niches in 2015 will most likely be the same as in 2014 - and 1997 for that matter:

              Health
              Wealth
              Sex
              Hobbies
              Security

or, more specifically, all the myriad subsections contained within them.

I personally don't think that mobile marketing is that big of a deal. I get mobile traffic to my sites via S.E.O. -- even though I haven't purposefully set them up to take advantage of mobile traffic.I think it's more of a specialized niche like Forex or something like that. With that said, I could be off base. I've just started to take social media seriously this year (as a means to drive traffic)...ha, ha, ha.

In my mind, the idea would be to start to promote / incorporate mobile offerings into your biz, I listed some examples in previous post, not just use mobile traffic to promote your current offerings...

Although with the statistics on mobile search and mobile browsing, I would look to do both, just my opinion :-)

Choose a niche with pain lots of pain ! The more pain the better the niche.

I've always used this rule of thumb for hungry niches.

    - Health
    - Wealth
    - Sex

If you can cater to any one of those niches, you will have no problem participating in a profitable niche.

Never be afraid of competition in your niche, competition is actually a good thing!

The more hungry the niche is for buyers, the most profitable the potential in the niche!

The most profitable niches for 2015? Only 3:

    1) Porn
    2) Penis enlargement
    3) Sex secrets

What? They always say sex sells... right??

You have to think about the number of people now with smart phones - and how reliant they are on them.

Wifi is becoming or has become something almost "expected" to be available everywhere you go. It's all in the instant gratification. Most people these days purchase based on instant gratification. This too I believe has become the norm as compared to 30-50 years ago.

But now I want to pick on your initial inquiry a bit. In particular "most profitable niches for 2015." While this is fun to think about, I would hope most would consider "most profitable niches for my lifetime" as opposed to limiting to just this year.

Ok, just peeked at the article.

I agree with the health thing.

Baby boomers are hitting their retirement age.

I'll take a stab at #3 based on what I'm dealing with right now.

My big brother is a late end baby boomer in his late 50's now. This past couple of months we've been dealing with one parent death and the other one having to go into a home.

So my guess is that with the 50-70 range looking to improve their health, they are also dealing with (or doing that because they are dealing with) their parents who are "headed on their way out."

It is a MASSIVE hassle (lol, no one wants to deal with the mess we have on our own hands right now).

So I vote for dealing with death, old age people, etc. It's gotta be in the top ten at the very least.

    Well guess what...

As more and more manufacturing moves off shore to cheap labor countries like China and India...

Western people will look more and more into running their own business instead of relying on traditional jobs.

I think there's a big difference between a segment of a mass market and a niche market. This thread shows most don't understand the difference.

I can see the mobile going up, and agree that unless you are a corporate, the only way to tap this niche will be in services and apps surrounding the big guys' move.
