Help - Providing a quality service gig

Hi Warriors,

I have someone that wants to break into IM, his current thought process is to provide gig(s) on Fiver. He is looking for a software package that will allow him to provide a service to buyers who would not have the package and find it cheaper to get the service via a Fiverr gig.

He has $400 -$500 budget.

Any suggestions what software he could purchase that would allow him to provide quality gigs(s).

    He should keep thinking.

      LOL.

      Brent,

I did have a long discussion (very long) on the gig idea but he wants to provide a quality service on Fiverr.... he feels that there is a market providing you provide a quality service.

In all honesty he is someone that wants to build a base of clients who realise that he is providing a quality service and would progress from there.

(It could turn out to be a costly learning experience if it did not workout for him.)

And, what type of service will be provided? Is this a bookmarking or SEO related service? Writing service? Voiceovers? Video creation? Logo creation?

      Hi seoboyz01,

It would all depend on the software available, although not sure he would want to get into things like offering FB like or YT visits etc. He is the type of person that would want to fully understand the software he was using and it's (and his) limitations.

Facebook is cracking down on the fake Facebook likes issue anyway, so it's not really the best business to be getting into. But, if you really wanted, you can get a social panel that lets you offer things like Facebook likes for around $10 USD on some sites. You would just load it with money after the fact to fill the request. That's not the hard part. The real tough part is giving those Facebook likes and getting them to stick once people start buying from you. Not all Facebook like providers (and most likely you will be subcontracting) are reputable and some use fake accounts that are easily flagged. So you will get plenty of refund requests and Paypal chargebacks.

      Hi seoboyz01,

It's down to the software package he purchases, not sure that he is into FB likes or sending YT video traffic. Bookmarking, logo/banner making is a possibility, he already has Camtasia for other work he does (not IM related) so video intros could be something he could consider. I used Videoscribe for a short time and I am still a member so I let him try that out but not so sure that whiteboard is anywhere as big as it used to be.

In all honesty he is the type that will get to know the limitations of any software package couple this with getting to know what his own limitations are.

I am still stuck at the Fiver decision he has made but from what I can gather his intentions would be to move on to the likes of Gigbucks, Zeer, SEOClerks etc...so he has thought this through more than I originally gave him credit for.

I think his idea is to get software for example videoscribe (although not this in particular) that people don't have and find it more cost effective to pay for as in a gig on Fiverr rather than buying the package.

That's a good idea, actually. I can't think of a specific service not already being offered on Fiverr by others. But if you find it, then you or your friend will have a very popular service to offer. Though beware others will almost instantly start copying you. So your unique niche might not be so unique or exclusive for long.

He could buy Video Maker and offer whiteboard animation or character animation videos.

But I agree, he should find his own unique service, as those already mentioned publicly will become saturated.

I'm pretty sure whiteboard creation is an already saturated niche on Fiverr. However, you mentioned character animation videos which I have not seen much of before. If someone has character modeling software and skills, that could be a good niche. Though this type of software is very expensive to obtain, not to mention how it's not just plug and play and you would actually have to take time to learn how to use it.
