Survey : Do you use software like Adblocker on WF?

Hello,

Most of us are savvy computer users/ Marketers who love to promote our products and service but usually block advertisement from various sources using software such as AdBlocker - or similar browser extensions.

My question to you guys:

Do you use a Adblocker to disable the top and bottom banners in this forum?

Just curious...

Thanks! & Happy New Year

I use an adblocker for all browsing, it never gets turned off so yes I do use one but not just to block ads on this forum.

I use Adblock Plus extension for Chrome, not specifically to block the ads on WF, but it does.

Yep. If you're trying to get my attention via a banner ad here you need to try another method.

It has nothing to do with the forum, but my ad blocker is on by default. If I turn it off and start browsing it is always shocking to what a hell-hole of poor advertising the Internet has become, and how much all those ads can slow down web browsers.

A lot of sites need a different way of monetizing other than sticking a bit of text or video on a page surrounded by ads.

At least with WF banner ads the advertisements are going to be relevant to the forum and what people are interested in.

      Other sites? Not really.

No. While I have an adblocker, I turn it off for almost every site I visit more than once that doesn't use annoying popup or sound ads.

I personally like seeing what the other warriors have going on for them.Do I click on the ads? No, but they don't bug me at all.

No, it is interesting to see which ads appear across the net and the forum

      I agree with James.

I have ad blocker but turn it off for sites like Warrior where I get value from. As a marketer we make money from ads whether it's blogs, articles or what ever. We give to get traffic.

So I like to see ads just as long as there isn't any annoying pop ups that tend to redirect to malware sites.

Yep ... use it for all my browsing. Not just for WF ads. I use Ghostery and NoScript and it also removes tracking cookies.

Hold on, you’re a member of the WF, presumably you do or want to make money on the Internet. People need to advertise, using an ad blocker is almost stealing from hard working internet marketers.

Surely you can appreciate that those using Adblock aren't the people you want viewing your advertisements, right? They (myself included, admittedly) have no intentions making purchases through advertisements - not to mention, as stated earlier, most pages online can become overwhelmed with advertisements that Adblock can be the only realistic way of viewing the page effectively.

Great Responses so far! More responses would be great.

Till now, We have many people who use Adblocker to stop the ads by default with all their browsing.

Does anyone know if WF banner ads provides clicks and tracking? If someone has used it.. Can they share their experience and avg clicks they received per day? Was it worth it? Better than pinning a WSO ?

Can you use a normal sized font? Would be easier to read.
