Does YouTube Monetization = more views?

I have many YouTube videos that provide entertainment for viewers, but also act as method to advertise my product line of head camera mounts and accessories. I currently have monetization turned off as to not distract from the video.

What are your opinions on the relationship between monetization and views? Do you think Google/YouTube is more apt to suggest monetized videos to potential viewers in an effort to make themselves more ad revenues?

Thanks,

Chris Jackson

I don't think so. However, Youtube wants the videos to be monetized (enable advertisements), so as to show advertisements on the videos. But, there is no point that monetize videos will get more views.

Thanks Nizam. I was just thinking YouTube might want to suggest videos more if they are running advertisements, as this way, Google makes money. If this was the case, then I would probably put adds on my videos.

        Most welcome

Well, personally I don't think Youtube will show suggested videos that are monetized more than non monetized videos. I suppose suggested videos are shown based on the user interest and search relevancy.

I think Nizam told the correct answer. But YouTube Show suggest videos by user interest. If you search Movie Trailer 2015 Then in YouTube home page you will see a lot of movie subscriber list. It shows suggest video by tracking your IP. That means what your IP search And YouTube show You the similar Result.

    Thanks

The only reason Youtube would suggest a video is if the keywords or description of that video somehow suggest that it's similar enough to the one you are viewing. So just be sure to optimize your title/keywords/description.

Google said that just because you have adsense on your content, it won't mean that your content will rank higher.

But who really knows what goes on behind that big Google brain.

This is a corporation that is out to make more money by 'serving' more relevant ads.

They will secretly keep changing their game plan to suit their needs.

I wouldn't enable their ads on your videos because it will just piss your audience off while they are trying to watch you.
