$1000 to spend on Graphic Design Services advertising, advice needed...

My dear internet marketing professionals, I would appreciate your advice and experience to point me into right direction into creating advertising campaign to promote my graphic design services.

Here is what I am doing so far:
1. BingAds - it's good, however search volume is very low.

Here is what I have tried:
1. Google ads, great volume, but paying $4 per click is kinda expensive considering my size.
2. Facebook, cheap and great way, however conversion rate was low, I believe people are distracted with other things and no one is really looking for services there.

What would be other options?
Thanks in advance for your help,
With kindest and best regards,
G

I'd save your money and learn how to generate the leads from free traffic platforms, as well as offline. I have a web development agency and we have no need to spend money on advertising.

        Of course.

Facebook groups and pages. You should also take a look around the Offline section here at WF. You'll pick up an awful lot that will help you. I'd definitely save your money. Really.

I would try a banner ad for a month, on a relevant site - a site where you could reasonably expect people in need of services like that to visit.

Specifically, look through the available inventory at BuySellAds and similar sites.

What about looking into Linkedin Ads? As it's a P2P service more often than not you're offering... just something to think about.

BuySellAds looks interesting, what other ways are out there to reach my potential target audience? Thanks.

Forums, forums, forums. Put your portfolio in your sig and they will come. I started out in graphic design almost 8 years ago (still do work for select clients). I jump started my business at the time by joining every forum where the readers might use my service, that allowed signatures, and posted like crazy.

If your portfolio and service are quality, quality clients will come. Those clients have industry friends who need work and they have friends.

If your work is quality you'll have to turn away clients in no time. Just post like crazy, relevant stuff to each forum.

Best of luck to you! Do you have a link to your portfolio?

Here is my portfolio: Graphic Designer Portfolio - Graphic Design Services

p.s. I'm targeting hiiend audience and don't want to use freelancer or any other site.

    Hi,

I wouldn't spend the $1,000 on advertising, no way. Put that moolah to better use in another area of your business.

I would create a blog - if you don't already have one - and then create compelling, engaging and useful content that your typical customer will love. Install the essential plugins too, such as the All in One SEO Pack which will help drive your SEO campaigns.

Over time, if you post regularly - at least 5 times per week - you will attract organic traffic to your site and you will be in a position to pick up new clients.

Don't expect overnight results though. Even if you were to spend your $1,000 on advertising, I doubt you would see a decent ROI.

Let us know how you get on.
