How to find affiliates to promote my product?

Not sure about the advertising system on Clickbanks for merchants since I've never gone that route before. But I did build my own affiliate program once for a product I was selling. The way I got affiliates on board was simply by Googling relevant keywords and then manually contacting every website owner I can find who looked like a good fit.

You're not asking them for a free ad on their site. You're proposing something they can make money off of. They'll be interested, as long as it's something they believe will sell. If its better than what's currently out there like you say, you shouldn't have any trouble signing people on.

But the key is, you have to go out and recruit them.

- First of all, always make sure you can market your product with OR without affiliates.

- Secondly, make sure your product converts, and people actually buy it.

- Thirdly, you may want to join an affiliate network like JVZoo, or Clickbank.

If you have a high converting offer, and payouts seem fair, you will naturally attract affiliates.

Sure , it's nice to receive affiliate traffic, but you should never have to rely on affiliates!

Anybody that teaches to get affiliates to do everything has a very unpredictable business!

Does it really need them?

Have you split-tested carefully, with and without them, and proved that they increase the conversion-rate of targeted traffic? I ask not just to be pedantic, but because all too often they can reduce it, and although affiliates who don't make many sales might love multiple bonuses, it's actually quite common for serious, pro-affiliates to reject products because we think there are "too many bonuses": http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post9759043

However you look at the "finding affiliates" problem, you more or less have to have everything tweaked and tested and have proven conversions of targeted traffic before serious, pro-affiliates will promote it.

Retaining affiliates is - in a strange way - more important than attracting us. Because you don't typically get us back, if you lose us when we try it before you've done all that and find that it doesn't convert our targeted traffic.

Apart from all the split-testing of your own sales page that you've already done, right?
