Default What's your favourite article writing tool(s)?

Hey Warriors,

I often find article writing the most difficult aspect of Internet Marketing.

What tools would you suggest to help with:

1) Writing articles from scratch (is there a way to automate this?)

2) Spinning articles & submitting to multiple directories

Is this even right way to go about it?

I look forward to hearing your advice

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I use my fingers and my brain and find that works well for writing articles ... well, it did until I broke my hand and now type one handed for the next 6 weeks!

The only easy way to write articles from scratch is to outsource them. Good quality articles need good quality writers.

Spinning articles - lots of software. I use Artefact I think it is called to spin and a few automated submission tools including articlebot.

Spinning an article well though takes time. It can take me 30-60 minutes to spin an article, but I'll get 50 or so high quality articles from it.

All the best

Jason

Many long time article marketers swear by Dragon Naturally Speaking. This software converts your voice to text so that you can crank out the articles a lot faster.

Article writing can seem tedious but take it slow. If you try and crank them out too fast, you will often end up with poorly flowing articles.

Also, once your articles are published, try and get them indexed high on Google for your targeted keyword phrase. Backlinks will help you accomplish this.

My best article writing tool is my head.
The hands do the typing but it all comes
from there.

If you don't know what to write about, visit
some blogs, watch some news, get some new
material and learn.

Enrich yourself first, so you'll have something to
give back later.

I seriously don't think a speech-to-text thing can simplify the writing process that much - there's so much editing to follow that if would be way more helpful to make a kind of a well-structured mindmap for the future article instead of blurting out anything that comes to your mind and then making the head or tail of it... Although brainstorming can be a great thing. It's just that you will still have to do the punching in.

Answers to your questions

1) Writing articles from scratch (is there a way to automate this?)
It is better done with human effort.

2) Spinning articles & submitting to multiple directories
This can be semi-automated or outsourced.

Is this even right way to go about it? Yes, this is the right way to go about it.

As a developer of article creation apps myself I tend to buy a lot of article software as well as other IM related tools. If you were wanting IAW Pro for research purposes you are probably better with something like Answer Analyst or even Article Ideas ($15). Simply enter your keywords and the software will retrieve relevant content for you. Add them to your research window, edit, rewrite etc and you're done.

I am going to be developing a new research app shortly which will be selling for very little, but it's going to be a while.

Take a look at the ones I mention above as they are a one-time fee only. IAW Pro is a monthly subscription of $27. Unless of course you opt for IAW 2 which is a one time payment of $67.

Hope that helps in some way.

If you just need articles for a blog or from the point of getting traffic or for autoblogs, then any article spinner software would work. Choose the one which has reviews and fits your requirements.

Jason Fladlien's Write an Article in 7 Minutes was a big help to me when I first started.

For research, I like to use Elmer Hurlstone's IM Research Power Tool.

You still have to do the thing, i.e. write the article, but both things get me pointed in the right direction.

Cheers,
Peggy

Hi Andrew,

For research I use market samurai to give me content related to my keyword that is linked to and ranked well, therefore it gives me an idea of what people want to read (not fool proof but it gives me an idea)

Then I just structure the article and write it with tips I mostly learned from Andrew Hansen's report on "Content Speed Writing" it might have been name "Article Domination" or something similar and I got if for free with a membership I was with at the time. Using the techniques he talks about, I am able to write very quickly (plus I touch type about 55 words a minute, so that helps )

For rewriting I use "Power article Rewriter"

for spinning I now use a free firefox plugin called imarcos for firefox. This is a God send. I have Jack Duncan to thank for finding this tool and teaching me how to use it through some of his videos in one of his WSO's.

You can use this tool to submit rewritten articles to hundreds of directories, with each directory getting a different version, while you do something else, like go and have a meal or watch the football on television, or enjoy some quality time with your partner.

Yes. It's called a "writer." Many of them hang around in this forum. You can find them in the Warrior Classifieds, or the Warrior Special Offers, or the Warriors For Hire, or you can just look at signatures.

I'm that writer you ask how to find every time your other writers deliver.

Either write the articles by yourself or outsource it. If you write them on your own you can learn many things. But if you're already experienced then you should be outsourcing them to make yourself more productive.

I don't spin articles because I don't believe in using such tools at all. What i do is just change the title and first paragraph of my article each time before submitting to an article directory.

Hope this helped.

I think he does have some excellent tutorial stuff in the War room, but what I was refering to in my previous post was a WSO I bought from him, where he goes though things in detail about how to use the fire fox plugin to submit to article directories.

I hope it is okay to post the link to his WSO here, it isn't my product after all. Anyway, heres the link:

I do use a program called Style Writer. It's pretty cool in that it helps with grammar and writing style. I tend to write 400 word sentences that really should be 10 sentences. Or I'll shift from 3rd party perspective to talking direct, and on and on. But this program has been helpful. I write everything in Word and use spell check.

Another program similar is called White Smoke, but I have never used it. Maybe some on here has and could shed some light on it.

Yups, I used to write articles from the scratch. Sometimes, just re-write
However, I do hve a library at home, so, get more ideas from books and write new things. Then I used to submit my articles to about 20-25 article directories which are having good traffic.

Some article spinners provide high quality work that are

Some of my 'spun' articles still do well in EZA, and have
done for some time.

Spinning an article well though takes time. It can take me 30-60 minutes to spin an article, but I'll get 50 or so high quality articles from it.
