IM Buzz Words that you do not want to hear anymore in 2015 :)

I know some of these buzz words make perfect sense and can be rightfully applicable to business but quite frankly they can be a little tiresome to hear over and over again !

So what words for 2015 do you want to do away with ? Or what words ( or phrases) that have a buzz that everyone uses but you are just sick of hearing?

I will get it all started ... "Rinse and Repeat"

I admit I don't really mind that one (as a fairly valuable "red flag"/"nonsense-alert" to warn me off, of course).

Intolerant skepchick that I am, there are so many I'd love never to hear again. The ones that immediately spring to mind are "See you inside"/"See you on the other side", "Who else wants to ...?", "We do it for you" and especially the word "cash-sucking". (All arguably useful as red flags, though?).

    Robert,

I'm curious . . . how do you "do away" with a word or a phrase? Call the Internet police and ticket everyone that utters the offending cliche?

Certainly some phrases get overused by marketers, but it's only because we live in our own little universe and speak "jargon" just like most other disciplines.

I kind of like "rinse and repeat." It's quick and short and paints a pretty good image of what the phrase implies.

My challenge to you: see if you can clearly explain what "rinse and repeat" means in 14 letters or less so that everyone knows what you mean. I'll bet you can't do it.

      A challenge ??

Good lord Steve, lighten up this was meant to be fun.

But you want to get all analytical about it

Relax there is no one "doing away" with anything. No internet police lol
That was just an expression in my Title, maybe not really warranted, to emphasize the point of "what words do you roll your eyes to when you hear because it is constantly used "

      Nothing more, nothing less.

        Robert,

I'm sorry you failed to sense the "lightness" of my post . . . no seriousness was meant at all. I thought the whole idea was rather comical, hence my obviously silly reference to the Internet police.

So if you didn't like my first challenge, here is my second one.

        Answer this:

"If an elephant wants to go 30 miles, and he walks at 5 miles per hour, how many pancakes does it take to shingle a dog house?"

P.S. I would NEVER use Pancakes to shingle a dog house as I like my butter and syrup on them and the nails and glue might get caught in my dentures

Although some buzzwords may seem passée they still can work like gangbusters when targeting certain demographics. Afterall, there's no sense in reinventing the wheel when time-proven strategies continue to bring home the bacon. There are new suckers born every minute, and the proof is right before your eyes. Marketing gurus use killer buzzwords in WSOs that draw like bees to honey for hunting down and preying on newbies.

Interesting subject, I have ton's (oops maybe that one) but here's three off the top of my head. (That's another phrase).

      - Guru
      - At the End of The Day
      - Next Level

Disclaimer/Full Disclosure: Although one person's buzzword (lazy writing) is another persons internal conversation, it's important to strike a balance.

I wish many buzzwords would fade away, because "I'm personally" tired of hearing them But I'm still guilty of using many. Why? Because my target market uses them, so if they're not tired of them yet. They win! (sigh)
