Bad idea to reorder the funnel process?

Hey guys,

I'd appreciate your input on this:

Normally funnels work like this:

Optin --> Content Page ---> Sales Page

But if I were to do it as:

- they optin for a free course

- after opting in, they get thanked for registering and that the link to the course has been emailed to them (aweber confirmation) and that I've got this special offer going on right now (sales)

- so essentially it would become optin --> sales page --> content page

- because after opting in, they get the course by email but on the page they start to get sold this product and of course after the video course there will be another sales attempt

do you think that this is a bad idea?

looking forward to your feedback

thanks

I think this is actually pretty common. A lot of funnels I sign up to are set up like this. I think as long as you have a relevant offer that is priced right you can be fairly successful.

Try it is your best option.

I would be more inclined to use the page to resell them on the free course and the benefits they'll get by completing it. If the course is good and meets some of their needs then they will be more inclined to buy from you. In fact you should use the course material to sell your other course/book/coaching.

As an aside I think you will see a lot of imer's will move towards free courses over free ebooks in 2015.
