Is there a Paypal alternative?

I have been using my friend's Paypal account for the past 6 years and every time I need to withdraw money, I have to ask him to withdraw my money from his bank account.

The problem is, I used to have a Paypal account 10 years ago before they freeze my account and banned me permanently because of eBay sales. They have my social security number and home address on file so there's no way I can set up with my name.

Is there another alternative to Paypal?

Also, would it be possible to create Paypal account with my name and ss number with no account limit?

There are several. The ones I am most familiar with are Solid Trust Pay and Payza. Solid Trust Pay(STP)is one I have used and can recommend. Payza I have not used but do have an account set up with them. Some people on here will badmouth STP and say they had all sorts of problems and that is true at one point they did. However, that was a while ago and my experiences with them are relatively recent. I had no problems transferring money to and from my bank account with them.

As for your problems with paypal that's interesting because initially they were set up as a payment processor for Ebay. I used to sell on ebay and eventually signed up with paypal to make payments easier but I've never had any issues with them. I do have two paypal accounts(one personal and one business)but I don't think having two would resolve your issue. What you should do(if you want)is call them to find out why they banned you and to see if you can resolve the issue.

    Just Google Paypal alternatives.

You could also try straight payment processors to get money from credit and debit cards. Or if you are looking to get paid, request a check maybe?

In addition to the above recommendations, also check out Gumroad, Stripe, and Authorize.net.

I think the PayPal push by eBay is pretty strong (for obvious reasons), but it DOES look like you can get Gumroad working with eBay. Here's a link that might help: https://zapier.com/zapbook/ebay/gumroad/ (I don't know anything about Zapier or what it does, but it could be worth exploring for you... Gumroad is awesome!)

Start a company. Get a EIN. Open a bank account in the company name. Use the company details to sign up at PayPal.

Just give them a call and chat to a real person. They are very good with helping you out and trying to resolve any issues that were originally the problem.

You should be able to get approved for an account by now.

Just call them, explain your situation, and get a new account. They have some of the best customer service in the world. If that fails, you could try the new Amazon payment system.

You can also use Skrill as a PayPal alternative and it works best with eBay as well.

Propay could be an option if you are selling on Ebay. I did not use it, but from what I saw online it may be suitable if you are not selling in very big amounts.
If not for Ebay, I am using Paysera instead of Paypal.

I called Paypal today and they wipe out all my information from my previous-limited account and I am ready to register as a new user and start fresh once again

They did asked me a bunch of question and make me promise not to do anything shady or sell illegal/fake product on eBay and I made promise to that.

    I am so happy!!!

Thank you all for the advice... I would have never call Paypal and will still be using my friend's account if you guys didn't advice me to call them

I would like recommend you stay away from paypal . It seem they have too many customers so that they willing fire out anyone who they "don't like", it 's easy to get a lot of risk.

If it has been 10 years, there is a good possibility you can get a new account.

    There are 2 other alternatives.

    1) use a CPN
    2) Use a Fed ID # (get incorporated)

Have you actually tried registering again under your own name? Try that and see if it goes through, as 10 years could mean you could get another chance.

I think someone has already commented on this... I will also suggest that register a fresh company and register as a business with a Business PayPal account.

That is one of the best solution as almost all are using PayPal.

Yes - Skrill (previously called Money Bookers) is the best Paypal alternative in my opinion. It's cheaper & easier to operate. Plus, there customer service is good. Check them up.
