    What do you mean by pre-configured?

    Most come with options to enter your merchant account details. Getting approved for a merchant account is a completely different step.

    I use wp-estore and it is preconfigured for my authorize.net information but I had to apply for and get approved for a merchant account first.

    Yeah, the seller can't put a common account number in. You could MAYBE track the funds using a sub account, but one trouble maker, or an IP based system could shut it down for ALL. And managing the dispute rate, and all would be problematic. If they applied for you, they would still have to get and use your personal info, so that isn't a great idea either.

    Any decent cart WOULD have the code to handle various gateways. Apparently, they took the gateway code, private again, so forget getting THAT. The ONE package I saw that offered a BINARY version charged like $1000 for the single user version. And THAT is why nearly everyone uses gateways like authorize.net for merchant accounts. SOME processors, like echo(which looks like it was bought by intuit), offer their OWN gateway, but it might not be supported much.

    Your question is a little vague but most e-commerce platforms are configured to work with multiple merchant accounts and gateways. But, if you are just looking at, let me put my Tax ID number in and get going, Shopify and Shopify Payments is the closest. BigCommerce also has something similar as well as Volusion but when it is all said and done, you will still need to apply.
