I see a lot of people have some sort of a form on their website which allows others to enter their own comments to that article on that specific website.

It shows something like this:

Name

Email

Website

Comment box

Submit comment

Does anyone know where I can get a code like this to post on my website and article pages so that people can participate in the discussion??

Thanks,

Tal

Some CMS (content management systems) have that feature built-in; e.g. most of the blogging scripts, like WordPress.

If your site is not built with such a script, you can search for independent commenting systems, like Haloscan.

If you make your website in wordpress, it's easy. A bit harder for sites made in other ways.

I did a quick search for "comment php script", and found this site: http://www.gentlesource.com/comment-script/

And this one is free: ScriptsMill.com | free php comments script

    Hope that helps,

Well, the simplest solution would be to use Wordpress for your site, and then put your articles into posts and pages via Wordpress - that way, you can have a comment system for each article.

If you don't want to go that route, then try EZ Comment Manager. (Search Google under "ez comment manager"). I haven't used it myself, but it looks like it does what you're asking.

PHP comment scripts are fairly simple to code from scratch. Wordpress already has a system built-in, which is ideal. Many other cms's have plugins for comments, maybe check that first.

I can code a comment script for any element of any page on your site, no matter the cms, as long as the site is php. Send me a pm if you're interested and we'll discuss.

As I say, fairly simple job. Can be done from scratch within a few hours.

Ok, so I downloaded the wordpress login from JS-Kit: WordPress integration

Does anyone here use the host company Host4Profit and can walk me through this. I have never done this before and would like some help.

I need a step by step instruction.

      Thanks,
      Tal

OK, let's go back to the basics...
Do you have a WordPress site where you want to comments?
If the answer is yes (I dont' know, since you never answered to that...) then you do NOT need any additional program, plugin, whatever. It is built-in.

If your site is not a WordPress blog - why did you download that gizmo, which is specifically for WP?

Sorry, I can't follow what are you trying to do.

So, in order to let people help you, please, give some more specific info.
Is it a WordPress site or a static HTML site?
Is it built with some kind of CMS or hand coded html?

          Hey,

Thanks for trying to help. My website is html.

If you take a look at my website in my sig, this is what I am doing and can add a code to it.

          Does that make sense?

Could barely find this post of mine. I have emailed a few people who have these scripts and ask them. Still confused how to do this.

I think there is no specific code in that area because as I've seen many sites or blogs have that form.

      1. After you log in, click on your own name at the top right corner and then on "statistics". From the list select to view all posts of yours...

      2. You have been given 4-5 different options/scripts. Read about them, compare the features, cost, technical skills required - and go with the one that fits the best your needs.
If you lack the knowledge to do it, just hire some freelancer to implement it for you.

      What is so confusing?

When you're on the board, click on User CP in the top left (just under the Warrior Forum - Internet Marketing Forums > blah blah blah)

      Then hit "Subscribed Threads"

That's all the threads you've posted in. Now you can keep up with any threads you start, and/or post in... and follow up/along with the conversations without having to wade through the whole forum.

    Hi Tal,
There is nothing to stop you adding a wordpress blog to your site in a subdirectory - even just to use the forms.
Because you may well find that as soon as you start allowing comments, you will get swamped by spam - and will need other features that are so easy to add to wordpress, such as recaptcha to keep out automated comments.
Wordpress also comes with Akismet to help keep out spam and you can add plugins such as social media like buttons, keywordluv and commentluv - to get your site picked up by people wanted to leave comments on relevant sites etc
The just have a simple button click on your html site that sends people to a wordpress page
