I wrote an article for Ezine just one week after I put it on my site. Here's something interesting... I received 3 url clicks from Ezine to my site from this article. I received 5 visitors to my site directly from google searches from my article. I received 16 visits to my site from other sites who took my article from Ezine articles. = __19 visits from Ezine + 5 direct visits_______________________ 4 paid memberships to my site, 2 from google and the other 2 from Ezine (and those who took it from Ezine) I know that this is a small statistic, but it does show the effectiveness (at least for me) of MY article marketing strategy. What I would like to know, is, what works best for you? |

That could show more than one thing. - I can't say how effective your articles are unless you specify clickthrough rate. - Perhaps, your sales copy convert too good. - Your offer is almost irresistible! Just some guesses there. CJ |

Hey Stuart, Congrats! Sometimes you hit it out of the park with an article. That's some pretty good stats! You probably found a great low-tail keyword phrase that gave your great visibility on Google as well as on EzineArticles. What works best for me is to write articles so ultimately they end up on Google. Google is my main source of long-term traffic for all of my articles, so I write with the goal of getting ranked highly in Google's search results. Simplyfing it all, my formula is: article optimized with low-tail keyword phrase + backlinks= SUCCESS |

Thanks for your kind words. Believe me, I don't get these results all the time. The issue I was trying to raise here is the effectiveness of keeping articles on your own site as opposed to posting them on Ezines, Articlebase, etc.. I know there was a recent thread about this but I wanted to see if others would share their results here. |

That's an interesting stats - amazing conversion rate too! I do article marketing too but have never had a result that good. Your offer must have been quite hard to resist. When you said do you mean you submit your articles to your website first before submitting to directories or what? I read an article today that suggested that to avoid being penalized for duplicate contents so your answer might help clarify it even more. |
