Where / How to find and work with an expert online marketer

Hi there. I'm rather new on the forum and I'm not a marketing expert but have experience selling physical goods online and heaps of programming knowledge.

I've got a young, but interesting eCommerce project started that I want to expand and I'm looking for a marketing pro that wants to help take it to the next level.

Where do you reckon is the best way to connect with potential partners and what are the questions I should be asking him, or asking in general.

Cheers,
Yann

    Hi Yann,

A good place to start would be here: Warrior Joint Ventures. It's where you'll find interested and/or experienced people than can joint venture with you in your opportunity if you place a carefully worded advert with your requirements here.

As for what you should be asking them, only you know the answer to that as only you know the ins and outs of your project.

    Good luck.

Warrior joint ventures area is a good start as mentioned above. As far as the questions you should ask is tough but I would start by analyzing their reputation. What have they done in their business, can you confirm it, does it align with your business goals etc. See how they have handled situations with their customers and colleagues. Another idea might be to find someone doing something similar to what you are doing in a different market and approach them. That way you know they have a proven track record before you start.

Thanks for all the JV suggestion. Just tried it but seems like forum newbies may not be allowed to post there. Will see with moderators if my account is somehow limited.

Try looking at JVs? It's a good idea to find someone to partner up with to share the work (do the things you can't do) and split the profits.
