Can I Embed a Youtube video to my website?

My aim is to show viewers great videos in my niche and list these videos so they are easily accessible. The videos wont be very popular but they will be good quality videos. I hope to form a relationship with these content creators to help support further videos. Thier names & links will clearly be displayed in the post. These posts will also be along side my own content (video & photography)

As this is not a "get rich quick" idea, I wont be monetizing the website until I have established good relationships with content creators and have a decent amount of traffic/subscribers.

From the Information I have given, can I use their video without contacting them first, allowing them to get in contact with me if they want there video removed.

Thanks for your time.

Yes, if "Embedding" is allowed by the person who published the video (if you can get the embed code, then embedding is enabled) the YouTube ToS allows you to embed the video on your site.

Publishers must agree to this when they join YouTube. If they do not want their videos embedded on other web sites they can disable embedding on a video-by-video basis.

You are not liable for any copyright or trademark violation because you are not hosting the videos. You are using them under license from YouTube.

YouTube or the video publisher would have the issue and YT may take down copyright videos. This would break the video on your site so it is a good idea to monitor you embedded videos and fix/replace broken or deleted ones.
