I know i'm probably a little late on this. I've always stayed away from craigslist because of all the restrictions. I'm finally took on the task of posting image ads, and now they're charging to post in categories. $25! there's a lot i can do with $25 that will give me a better ROI. |

I think it depends on where you are and what categories you are posting to. I just listed my boat for sale and it was free.

Yeah, stuff that is meant for businesses (like help wanted ads) you have to pay. The other stuff is free!

It's probably to discourage all the scammers on craigslist.
