IM newb, how do I make from 5000 hits a day?

Hi All

I'm pretty much an IM newb & I could use a mentor for the ideas side of stuff, I can knock the sites together myself no probs.

Anyway, enough rambling, I created a bitcoin site last week & in 5 days it's got 25000 hits, I've applied to adsense & I'm on my 3rd try, they rejected the first 2 due to lack of content. It should be fixed now but it's a waiting game.

It's not free hosting this, costing me about €3-4 a day, it's an experiment really to see will IM work for me.

Any opinions or suggestions would be really appreciated. I did have the page full of reflinks but I guess google didn't like that.

Here's the site Free Bitcoin faucet

P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I don't think adsense accept sites where users earn money for "actions" ..

Had this problem simply when I was writing about different PTC and GPT sites, so i'd be shocked if bitcoin faucets are allowed

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure what you mean "actions" ? So do reckon they will decline me again? I'm not asking anyone to click, the faucet is seperate & I was gonna implement adblocker when it got approved.

Hmm, so what can I do if adsense reject me, have I other options or let it die & look at something else, ie another site with an adsense plan or something?!?

You can montize much better than adsense with that much traffic. Try creating sme sort of product or utilize a cpa offer.

I don't have a product though, I set the site up last week so see how many hits I could get, I don't even know what a cpa is yet. (click per action)

I'm around computers years, websites/linux/hosting/java etc, all this marketing lingo is alien to me.

Adsense requires that you have a "Privacy" page that describes their cookies.
Adsense also requires that you have a "Contact" page.

Adsense is also fairly picky about what kinds of sites their ads are placed on. Sites that pay people to take an action, such as your Wallet form and Captcha, are generally not allowed to have Adsense.

I suggest you check the ToS for any other networks you want to work with. You'll find most are restrictive of these sites, which is why so many faucets link to traffic exchanges (Which most are fake traffic and not worth investing the time in, if you ask me).

    I would suggest checking...

    Chitika
    MaxBounty
    CPMLeader

You could also visit other faucets and see what ads they are showing. Sometimes hovering over the ad can show you what network its coming from. Other times there is a small space you can click for Ad information, which can also show you what network its coming from. Visit that networks homepage and see what it would take to start an account.

ha, OK, I think I see where your going with this, I'm wasting my time on this one, I've just went in & throttled the bitcoin payouts to less than 1/2 till I figure this one out.

Thanks for the replies btw, much appreciated.

Can I ask another question, is this a silly idea or not? ie 1st step, create website with tech help etc & stick an ad from clickbank like my example above, laptop courses or whatever & hope someone clicks it.
ie that's my 1st step, would that be the correct starting point??? I don't expect people to explain further the techniques with such a general question but is that where I start?

OK, I done some research since my last post

I tried Chitika &CPMLeader, they were showing ads trying to trick windows users which I don't like, doesn't matter though, adsense approved me so I removed them & have 3 adsense ads now.
After 1230 page views I've got no clicks though, I clicked one myself from a different ip to see did anything change & that's my only hit. I also removed all the other referral ads I had off the homepage.
I also signed up with aweber & setup a squeeze thing on my page, I've only got 1 email after maybe 3-4k hits & even he didn't confirm it.

Any hints anyone? Is it my traffic or what?

          Probably.

This isn't real traffic, is it?

You appear to be offering a free ebook that's relevant/targeted to the site in exchange for people's email addresses. To get one email address out of 3,000-4,000 hits makes me wonder if this "traffic" comprises real people at all. Is this ad.fly traffic, or maybe something even worse? (Even ad.fly visitors opt in more than that!).

Anyway, it's time for someone to ask "Where's this traffic coming from?", and it may as well be me, since I'm such an inquisitive chick to start with ...

Not something many "IM newbs" say, around here ...

Have you bought this traffic on Fiverr, or something? There's a little more to this story than meets the eye, I strongly suspect?

Yes ... hopeless idea. Sorry, but you did ask. This post from 2012 explains the kind of things you need to do, to have any realistic chance of making ClickBank sales (and it's more true in 2015 than it was in 2012, too): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523

Hi Alexa, thanks for your reply, after reading some of your posts I feel honoured your replying to me

5000 hits & an IM newb, no, I'm not messing. I can do stuff with sites & a bit of coding, doing it many years, my 5000 hits a day is because it's a faucet, I'm literally giving bitcoin away to newbies, I did this to cut through the bullshit & see how much traffic a faucet generated.
If you look at the flag down the bottom of the page you'll see where the hits are coming from, mainly eastern europe/asia.

Also, I paid for the domain name, €8 for a year & I've already hosting. I could replicate this in minutes but I'm just losing so far.

I agree with Alexa, its hard to believe that your site with 3 pages of content is getting that much legit traffic...

My ads are up about 9 hours & adsense says I have
      Page views
      1,358

Edited to add, I never paid for traffic.

Some of these stories are getting funnier every day. I am not making fun of you amp2k. It's just that you claim that you created a site last week, you are a newb and you managed to get 25K hits since last week?

Where is your traffic coming from?

Is it a 'bot' running off someone's computer or is it real people?

    I am guessing it's a bot.

Google's definitely not going to let you get into adsense with bot traffic lol.

I would start researching a few words to get a better understanding of how IM works.

    Research:

    1- What is targeted traffic

    2- What is content

    3- What is Value

    Then go from there.

      Hmm, nobody believes me

So here's a new business idea, if I charge $99 & sell an ebook telling you how I got 30k hits in my first week, would that sell?

P.S. I'm not bullshitting, it's not even an ebook I'm selling, I could sum it up in 1 paragraph how to do it.

Does anyone want to JV with me? As I said, IM newb, not an internet newb.

There's a captcha on the page before you get the reward, I've also hidden the button for adblock users.

Bump, I'm serious, someone talk to me please, the hits are legit & I've an idea now for an ebook tutorial to get these hits.
Money back guarantee for a few maybe but I don't know how long this will last, my idea only works a few times.

    I'm interested in talking to IM'rs & I can bring traffic & sites/hosting etc

You need to look around at all the possibilities of monetizing your current traffic.

My guess is that the bitcoin enthusiast crowd is NOT going to pay well if you try to get them to click on advertisements like Adsense, because the bitcoin crowd is very computer savvy and does not like spammy advertisements. As a general rule of thumb, Adsense is almost always a bad monetization method for very computer savvy niches because of this.

I would suggest in the short term throwing up something like a "recommended products" on the top of the content area of the page. Maybe show some images of the latest computer parts from Amazon.com, since bitcoin enthusiasts are likely to be the type of person who assembles their own PC's and such. Make the image be a clickable link that sends them to Amazon with your affiliate code. This might bring you at least some money, since you get a commission for anything they buy within 24 hours of clicking your affiliate link. So even if they don't buy the product you list, they might buy something else and you get paid.

In your specific case, you are getting so much traffic solely because you are giving away something for free that has value. But this may be an obstacle to monetization for you, since they only came for "FREE STUFF" and not to buy stuff.

Another possibility is that you could put an email capture up and force your visitors to sign up to a mailing list before giving them access to your bitcoin faucet. Then you could sell advertisements to the list via ad swaps. I've never done this before but I know it's a big thing for some people.

This is what I'm thinking, adsense will work fine on other things but not here, like you said they are too savvy & on top of that they are signing up to get fractions of a cent for free, not a great target market really.

That's not a bad idea, I was thinking of that, upping the payments & force registration.
I like your amazon idea too, I'll have to look into that & see how to set that up. The 13 cent I've earned today off adsense isn't cutting it.
