eBay Affiliate Questions

It is not like any other program due to the auction aspect and the inability to have static product urls. There was a huge exodus out of the program about a year ago when the cookie tracking period dropped to 24 hours - which does not always make a lot of sense with auctions.

The commissions calculations in the program have changed so many times it would make your head spin. The program easily has the worst "up time" for tracking and reporting of any major program. No one really trusts the data they get.

The furor from affiliates has been so great public access to the affiliate forum was removed.

EPN is not like Amazon. You need a carefully thought out strategy to address how Ebay works and the 24 hour cookie. And then be prepared to dump all your hard work every few years when the program changes course.

Then there's the issue of Google torching Ebay affiliate sites.

Wow, that sounds awful. What about businesses that sell on ebay? Can you use affiliate links to link to your own auctions/store and then get commissions while people use ebay or does the link have to just lead to the ebay front page?
