Best way to use your list?

Hey. I've only been building my list a little over a month but continue to get new subscribers every day or so. I was wondering what are the best ways to sell them after they signup? I saw a good email today about using video marketing with your emails & was wondering if I should add a YouTube video inside of the email to get more sales? Hadn't thought of this till today but might work on my autoresponder emails tonight. Has anybody else had good results with this? Thanks

    Be patient. You don't need alot of bells and whistles. I'm not sure of what you sell to your list and its price, but from the sounds of things... it sounds like you're on the right track. You're building a list, and that's good. I think your problem is lack of alot of subscribers. If you want to *add* anything, i would add links in a "signature" in your emails.... that provide more content for your readers to read and implement. This helps out tremendously, and gets you being closer to being an "obvious expert" to your email list readers.

    My two little cents is not to sell to them too soon after they sign up. No one appreciates that.

    Build their trust and loyalty first and foremost, and then show them offers that you think they would appreciate, and tell them why you think they would like/need/appreciate what you are recommending.

    When it comes down to your selling email, you can put a video inside, I personally have no experience with that. But videos usually give people a reason to click so that's probably the reasoning behind the recommendation.

    Randall made some great points. I would also recommend that you add value even if you are selling to them. For example: If you are promoting a video course give them some content to consume before adding your promo links. Tell them why video marketing is powerful and some techniques you are using to be successful with video marketing. Early on you want to establish that relationship. So these types of content/promotional emails will often do better.

    Thanks for letting me know. I've been working on my autoresponder for a couple hours now & just finished adding a YouTube video that links to my website at the top & my top 3 clickbank sites as a signature at the bottom of it. Hopefully they will start doing better but I only have about 18 subscribers at the moment & know it takes a while to build them up as well. Wish me luck
