I need to test out a "Buy Now" button I put on a website. I want to be sure that it redirects to the download page after a successful transaction. Can I do this somehow through the Paypal Sandbox? It's not clear to me how to do it.

Well, I would suggest you go with e-Junkie if you've a digital product. I've seen several instances where the download/thank you page is exposed in open on the "warez" forums. In that case, e-Junkie comes to rescue since it emails a download link automatically upon purchase which expires after a couple of downloads. Best of all, its only $5 per month with some free trial period too! ClaytonJ P.S. I've no idea about PayPal sandbox. |

E-Junkie is great and I use it a lot. You can extend the free trial to a whopping 67 days long with this code: "EASYE-JUNKIE"

You can do what you want through the PayPal sandbox. 1. Sign up for a PayPal sandbox merchant account and create a separate sandbox 'buyer' account. 2. Change the Paypal account in your 'buy' now' link to be your sandbox merchant account. 3. Log into Paypal sandbox 4. Open a new browser tab, goto your site and click 'buy now' button 5. Purchase as the PayPal sandbox buyer 6. Check download works 7. Log out of sandbox 8. Change PayPal 'buy now' button account to your real merchant account I use it every time I set up a new product and it takes 5 minutes to terst / restore |

Here is the link where you can create a paypal sandbox account. I hope you realize that your download link will not be secure. Once buyer pays for your digital item, they can bookmark it or share it in a forum and people will be able to download the item without paying for it.
